He's a talented artist, no doubt, I'm not not a fan of the busier, more "realistic" designs. Keep G1 basic and over-simplified, I say.

Still, if they had gone that route with the movie, I would have been much, much happier!

Oh, no doubt. In comparison to the Bay-Formers those are literal ____ing masterpieces of Transformers design!

anyone preordered MP10? im thinking of goin with kapow toys but the £180!!!!! price tag and takaras QC issues with MP hot rod are putting me off slightly! its due out this month so i might wait for a few reviews first.
still keeping my eye out for a unicron at a not too extortionate price as ive missed a couple on ebay goin for around £110 ( price with shipping)

I'm considering it. But like you said, who knows what QC problems it may have if any. I definitely don't want to have to go through the trouble of getting a replacement for a $250 figure (BBTS price)

I'm looking forward to reviews but I really doubt I'm going to plunk down $250 plus shipping for this. I'm pretty happy with Faith Leader, and would rather put any extra money towards getting the rest of the Herc-bots, or trying to win a few more of the Henkei Autobots that I missed.

$250 is a lot for the new Prime, and I'm also waiting on the reviews.

that's also what I'm waiting to hear about. The only problem with US releases is that he'll have the short smokestacks which bothe the hell out of me.

Is there anyone (e-tailer or eBay) still selling the Longer smokestakc for both the G1 reissue and the MP Prime?

If there's a US release with short smokestacks, I would put good money on there being a 3rd party long smokestack option.

this is like the one exception along with iGear MP megatron that I'd make

I know there were long smokestacks made awhile ago for both G1 and MP Primes, but that was before I had the G1 reissue prime, and before I started online buying. Now I finally can get them I I can't find them nowheres

The smokestacks probably wouldnt bother me too much my concern is if Prime will still come with the trailer or not.

He most likely won't come with the trailer since Rodimus didn't come wih his and neither did the Anniversary Prime.

Not having the trailer actually doesn't bother me b/c I wouldn't display it anyways most likely

Those dress it up rather nicely.

I think I'd wait until I have the whole set and see what they come up with (possible revisions, additions for Devastator, etc.), but I could see myself getting these, if only for the Decepticon symbols and what not...

I love the way they did the sticker for the chest panel. I thought they'd have difficulties with the unusual shape, but they got around that very nicely.

They look pretty good. I might also pick up a set. But DPrime, if you just want Decepticon symbols, you can buy entire sheets of just those that you could use for multiple Constructicons. They just might not be in precisely the right scale.

Yes, they do. I probably still have mine tucked away with the original stacks and instructions.

It's really easy - you just unscrew his shoulders where they indicate, pop them off, and replace with the new ones.

This was for the 20th Anniversary version though - I've never used the ones for the North American release, but I think they might be even easier...
