Since were talking about scale all the Generations/Universe bots are deluxe size and it looks ok, but I've been really wanting to make it a little more accurate. Most of my movie fig display have a nice scale to it though.

Most of the Autobot cars work OK but the Deluxe Seekers & Coneheads look a bit ridiculous as F-15's tend to be much bigger than sports cars :lol

Even Grimlock though?

Anyway, just personal preference, I guess! :)

Yep even Grimlock. I think the reason why scale doesn't bother me is mostly b/c in the cartoon I never really knew or took notice to scale beside Optimus and Megatron being the leader so they were typically taller than everyone else, besides Devastator Jetfire and a few others. I always thought Grimlock was at most the same height as Prime.

But I will say that the first MP Optimus does look waaaay too big next to the others. I like Optimus to be taller, but but he's ilk at least 2inches taller which makes him look more like a giant. It's the only reason I'm co sodering gettting the MP-10

Yeah, I always saw Prime, Megs, the Seekers and Soundwave at around the same height, and most of the cars somewhat smaller, then the minibots, etc.

:lol Yea that is very true.

Found an MP Rodimus at TRU and got since it was the last one they had and the only one I've even seen around here.

I like Grimlock just a LITTLE bit taller than Prime - that's why the iGear Faith Leader works perfectly for me! :)

I hear you man.

But speaking of the faith leader and igear, did the 2nd version of the Faith leader figure come with the non MP styled prime sculpt?

Also, has there been any word on the iGear MP Megatron? since I don't normally collect 3rd party stuff I don't keep up too well

congrats man! :clap

I think Texas is finally getting in their major stock of MP Rodimus b/c I just came back from the TRU by my school and it had a good amount of him. at least 5 maybe more

new Starscream? Why do we need a new one? I thought the original modle with the Walmart EX paint was perfect

I'm hoping for a new Megatron to go with the new Optimus.

1. I THINK so... Pretty sure I have the second version... it's still got the cape, though, so maybe not. I can't remember... but if it's the second version I have, it comes with both heads.

2. No word, I think. bcm77 keeps up with this stuff better than I, but as far as I know there's been no news.

As much as I want an iGear Megatron and am anxious to find out more, there's a LOT of 3rd party stuff coming out soon. I'd be fine if this was released after the TFC Constructicons, iGear Ironhide/Ratchet, and Soundwave (by whatever company). This stuff gets a bit expensive! :)

I agree, though I think the MP Starscream stuff is still only rumours, at this point?

The 2nd run of Faith Leader had a Megatron head & an Orion Pax head instead of the anime style Prime head.

No more news on Horror Monarch ( iGear Megatron ) as yet, it was originally meant to be out several months ago so it's either been put on the back burner for the time being or they're going in a different direction.

MP-11 being Starscream v2 is still only a rumor at this point although the source of the rumor has been correct on other things in the past so it's looking probable.

If it looks more like the original proto for the first version and doesn't have the hip kibble that the designer added to make them look more like samurai it could actually be a worthwhile upgrade....especially if Starscream is silver/grey like the G1 toy.

In the meantime, anyone for a 3rd party cartoon accurate Wheelie?

By 3rd party standards it's taking a big risk with the use of official logos and names and the design is also stolen from Jizaitoys who had a 1 day license from Has/Tak to sell the original resin kit at a Japanese toy show a few years ago.

The original now fetches £200 plus on ebay even though the joints are crappy and the resin used for the casting isn't particularly great.

This one is made from ABS plastic and diecast and has ball joints where the original didn't so it should be a lot better.

It's also been upscaled from the original and appears to be the size of a small Deluxe such as Classics Bumblebee,

The only thing it appears to lack is a slingshot but it should be easy enough to make one.

I'll have to check my box again. I think I may have the first run, but I'm not sure.

I thought the cape was only with the first run - I know I have that. I don't have any QC issues though. Wasn't that also a problem?

Well, if they plan on doing the first season cast, I imagine Megs is on their list. A lot of people weren't happy with the design of MP Megatron, probably because it seemed to be more of an update of the original G1 toy design, rather than being as cartoon accurate as possible.

And of course, now that iGear's doing their own designs, rather than just copying official ones, they might want to put a bit more work into this. I hope so! :)

Meh, I suppose. A lot of the rumours seemed to point that it might be a different alt mode, however. Wasn't there a lot of talk of it being an F-14 for some reason?

Not bad... Isn't iGear doing up a Wheelie as well, though? I think it was one of the Minibot silhouettes, though I may be mistaken about that.

Most of the QC issues were with the first run of Faith Leader, I got the cape with the 2nd run of Faith Leader as well as the Megatron & Orion Pax heads....the Megatron head is really nice and whatever iGear's plan now is for that character I wouldn't mind that sculpt being used.

As far as Starscream being an F-14 I only know of the GI Joe Skystriker repaint that was a SDCC Exclusive so whether that got confused with the rumors about a new Masterpiece I don't know.

If the new MP Seeker mold was based on the IDW F-22 Seeker design that would be at least be something new,

iGear appear to be doing their own version of Wheelie as one of the blacked out pics of their forthcoming Minibots matched with an image of Wheelie from the Dreamwave More Than Meets The Eye character guide but the guy at TFW who knows the iGear people ( fabexmax ) has suggested that may actually be someone else so we'll have to wait & see.

Thanks for the response guys! I guess I dont mind MP-11 being starscream esp if he's in his g1 colors since I don't have the previous one.

If we see an iGear MP styled Megatron, retooled or just scaled down, before Takara does one, that may be my first 3rd Party figure.

Was the Faith Leader's price lesser than the MP-01 price?

Faith Leader cost me about £80 shipped direct from iGear.

Both Hasbro versions of MP-01 were initially about £60-£70 at TRU in the UK although they got reduced eventually.

I had to return both because of poor paint apps and break away body parts that weren't meant to break.

I attempted to get replacements but in each instance the whole pallet in the store were of similar crappy quality....any intrest in owning the official mold ceased.

I could quite happily have gone without a MP style Prime but then iGear came along, downsized it so that it would work with the Classics and removed the diecast that made it so top heavy and prone to falling over....Henkei Prime was resold to help raise some of the funds and I soon had what I consider the definitive version of G1 Prime in my collection.

Deak,
That does look better, I just went with one of the first decently sized images I could find.

Yea I only paid $12.50USD for my Anniversary Prime from Walmart. Tetop heaviness is what mostly bothers me about the MP-01 design. I like to pose my figures dynamically when I take them out and MP prime can't really do that without falling over.

Luckily, since I paid the price of a Deluxe figure for my MP
Prime, I don't have to feel like I'm spending an insane amount for another prime. Hopefully since MP-10 is supposed to be out this month, we'll see some in hand pics soon

I still don't like them. Too busy and the heads are fugly IMO. It's like they were trying to find a middle ground between the G1 and Bay-formers.

Yeah, they kind of remind me of Armada or something.

Still, if they had gone that route with the movie, I would have been much, much happier!
