With Hasbro canceling so many items, I don't want to take the chance that they show a Voyager Ratchet then it gets canceled and I'm stuck paying a crazy price like i did with FE Optimus (though I think it's totally worth it for him)

Yeah, you can never be too sure... Still, I think now that we're into the "main line" and not a preview wave, we should be good until they decide to end it. Those last figures of any given wave are often very hard to get, I've found.

I fell like Ratchet got the short end when it came to movie figures. 3 movies and his voyager never changed mold, just paint. The deluxe is a nice pretty accurate version of Ratchet but it's so small. It would've been awesome to have that mold with a bit more detail in a voayger size figure.

That's actually a good point. He was the only Autobot not to get a FE release, which is pretty indicative that both Hasbro and Takara probably don't think he'll sell as well as the others. I'd hate to think that this is the only version we'd get, but you never know.

I'll probably buy one just in case, and to show my support for the character, I suppose!

With the recent scans of the Takara RID figures, I'm not holding my breath for anything that looks amazing now. If Takara's Megatron does look better than HAsbros, I'll order it and return my Hasbro one, but again, it's good to have one of the versions so I don't get stuck with nothing and having to pay top dollar for him

Yeah, those pics were pretty jarring. They definitely shook my faith a little in Takara. I will probably end up picking up a Megatron as well, just in case.

Good review there man. I think you hit all the points. Like you said, and I now know for sure, RID Optimus really is no substitute for a TF Prime Optimus. FE Optimus is the only way to go.

Thanks man!

In regards to the next US MP figure, i hope it's Optimus. I'd really like to get that one since it seems like they're putting chrome pieces back on son of their TFs. US MP Grimlock and Hot Rod had chrome pieces so i'd hope that this time around, Optmius will have chrome smokestacks, grill, rims and whatever other parts that should be chromed out.

Yeah, I hope they don't cut his stacks though.

It'd be really nice if we could finally get an MP Optimus that was just as good as the Takara version - including his trailer - but at a more reasonable, non-import price.

Yeah the Voyager Megatron, aka the PRID version in America.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... where did you see the Takara voyager Megatron? Not the recent pics/Japanese movie/commercial? I'm pretty sure that's deluxe... yeah, it sort of matched Prime's height, but that version's shorter than the FE version, and if you'll notice, Megatron "stood" at full height whereas they cleverly posed Megatron with bent knees and his legs, uh, spread.

I just saw the Takara version, yeah I am going to have to spring for that. And hold down the button Craw then pull the blades forward to give Megs a more accurate look.

Are you SURE it's the Voyager you saw? and not the deluxe?

Becuase the deluxe is the one that has the arm cannon minicon that turns into lugnut.

this video is the Deluxe megatron at about 1:18

Damn. i was hoping we were wrong, and you were correct :/ oh well.

Yeah, me too!

Oh well, I think we'll get one eventually as well.

I finally joined TFW2005 after all these years of lurking there. Since when was the term CHUG started? Pretty clever :lol

Heh, apparently there's like a movement of sorts to NOT use the term, too. Weird.

Hi all, I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd post a pic of a recent purchase,

roadbuster.jpg

Technically it's not a Transformer....it's a modern version of a mold from another toyline that Hasbro originally licensed in the early 80's to make G1 Roadbuster.

It's made by CM Corporation and has been around for a few years as it was originally pretty expensive but I got mine from an ebay seller for around £60 shortly before Christmas.

Compared to an official Transformer the articulation isn't the best and a couple of the accessories are a bit flimsy but the main robot has quite a bit of diecast and rubber tyres for the vehicle mode and ie perfect for anyone wanting a Wreckers display as it goes really well with FansProject's Warbot Defender ( Springer ) and I'm looking forward to adding iGears Presser ( Impactor ) to the lineup in the near future.

The next arrivals for me should be the last 2 TFC Constructicons which seem to be taking forever to arrive

The first image that popped in my head when hearing Chug, it was a deformed short stumpy robot. I ignored it but kept seeing more post thinking it must be popular.

Anyways I stopped by TRU and there were 9 TFP Bumblebee peg warmers. But a Walmart had 1 BB and 2 WJ. Hoping to find Ratchet and Arcee soon.

What the hell is a CHUG???:huh

Classics Henkei Universe Generations - basically a fan term describing the multitude of "Classics" lines that have been released over the last few years.

Of course, since then we've also had United and Reveal the Shield, and I think a few others I can't think of offhand...

I noticed fan boys at TFW2005 are sensitive in calling certain series with certain names. Just read about Prime RID, PRID etc. they got upset because??? Fandom I guess.

Anyways loved the new episode of TFP tonight, epic!

I picked up a Classics/Universe/whatever Jazz at Ross the other day. I kept passing on him before because I never cared for the design, but once I got him in hand and transformed I really kind of dig him.
