I got Grapple there, as well. They had the repainted Bumblebee and Wreck Gar there the other day, as well. I might pick Bumblebee up if he's still there next time I go. I've got 2 of the first release, but he's such a fantastic figure.

Yeah, some people are a bit weird there. A bunch of members there seem very concerned about the whole Nemesis Prime/Scourge name thing too, for some reason.

Yeah I joined to see if I could get some TFP FE cheaper than ebay prices. But when I PM members for prices I was thinking to myself WTF. Even the thread where they try to help out other members.
Don't get me wrong, there are members out there to help you out and others that don't. Can't blame them. It's goes for the same on here too.

TFW is definitely different, but I like it there. And yeah the B/S/T section is odd with no prices, I don't like to be dicked around. But I like how they can talk like adults unlike the SSFreaks.

As for the Prime toys, I like Wheeljack but the rest of the line are easy passes as the overall aesthetic is like a mixture of Animated and Bayformers which just isn't something I'd be prepared to spend money on.

I just opened my Bulkhead... I was all about the Takara one, but I think I've come to realize the Hasbro one is more accurate. And I was lucky enough to find one.
I DID want to watch the season one blu-ray I just bought to make 100% sure, but my stupid player needs to be updated and it's been a real pain in the butt so far... luckily Samsung is sending me a USB with the update on it but it won't get here for a couple weeks probably. Argh!
But good luck on Bulkhead. I will probably end up selling the Takara one that's in my PoL after I get it. Kind of regret ordering it now, but I really didn't think I'd find the Hasbro version...

Nice pics, I'm going to do a similar setup myself once I get the last 2 Constructicons next month ( the seller I bought mine from is waiting for restocks ).
I think the rise of the 3rd party companies in the last couple of years has been a wonderful thing as Has/Tak are getting progressively worse.

I'm still waiting on three of my Herc-bots, myself. Exgraver is actually tied into a preorder with the "Growing Pains" set for United BB... didn't think it would take this long to come, but it's looking like it'll arrive soon since we recently saw finished pics.
Missed out on the other two over the holidays, but they're on preorder at Robot Kingdom right now. Should get 'em in April, along with TF Prime Skywarp, a United Wreck-Gar and WST Astrotrain.
While I agree that the third parties are GREAT for the hobby, I disagree with the bolded part. The TF Prime figures are pretty awesome overall. I just got my Takara FE Optimus and decided to open up my Hasbro Bulkhead, and both are things of beauty...
I think the thing with Hasbro and Takara is that they're not CONSISTENTLY good, at least from the point of view of collectors. But then again, they are also trying to appeal to children and parents. I think they do a pretty good job of producing stuff that appeals to everyone, but when you try to please everyone there's gonna be some stuff that disappoints certain people, no doubt. As long as we still get MP figures once in a while and the various Classics/Generations/etc. lines, that's good enough for me. The third parties can take up the slack.
Oh, and TF Prime of course. I'm disappointed in some of the second versions (well, MOST, to be quite honest), but the FE figures and the ones that are first versions in the RiD line, like Soundwave, Wheeljack and voyager Megatron, are pretty awesome.

Well. . .I guess some there, just like some here, can do that. But I've seen a lot of childishness over there, as well, and the _____ing/complaining/arguing about Transformers minutiae easily rivals the worst that I've seen over Hot Toys here. Maybe I was browsing the wrong sections of the forum? Being a casual Transformers fan, I'm sure I don't know where to go or who the "cooler" members are as well as you do, Nick. Also, the strong sub-culture that has an infatuation with the scantily clad pre-teen anime girls makes me uncomfortable.
Great pics of the third party figures. The Maketoys Giant(devestator) robots coming out are looking pretty good as well.
