^^^and that's exactly why I don't debate these things b/c ppl like you just LOVE to over exaggerate and put forth hyperbole thinking that makes your point that much more valid. Not going to step any further into this. I said what i wanted to say. I'll enjoy the movies and shows (old and new) to my hearts content and you can keep on complaining that there's not a live action version of the 80's movie :wave

Who's complaining?:dunno Whether an 80s live action movie ever gets made is irrelevant at this point. I just made a statement to counteract yours. Nothing more, nothing less! I still have my 80's G1 boxsets to look at as well. :yess:

One reason the Avengers is so much fun is that every character gets their own moment so you end up caring more about the team.

Beyond Prime & BB there's no reason to give a damn about the other
Bayformers Autobots as the only others to get any time spent on them were the retard twins.....
.Bay preferred those two over Sideswipe & Sunstreaker :cuckoo::slap:cuckoo::slap

All the "Team USA Saves The Day" stuff was grating, I'm not anti-American but I don't think many other countries do the "patriotism" thing to the same degree so it did come across as being a bit much....anyone who cares enough knows what a good job they do so it doesn't need to be rammed down our throats in a movie where they're supposed to be on the periphery but that's Hollywood for ya.

The other issue I had is this,

In a movie series which apparently makes a big deal about the robots being "grounded in reality" should any based Earth military really be taking down Decepticons with weapons less powerful than nukes?

As both factions had the technology to get to Earth in the first place it's reasonable to assume that they would also be able to counter anything we throw at them with the possible exception of nukes.

Clearly that's too logical for Bay.

:exactly: Too bad someone else can't take over the writing and character development. Other than Prime, Megs, and Bee, I didn't really care about the others.

I don't agree. The TF movies hav had some of the best sfx I've seen in movies to date. Sfx like that on box designs won't make box design look more appealing, just more real. Writing, on the others and I can agree with most about. It's the designs that I don't agree with ppl about plus the fact that that I generally like the movies and know them almost word for word and have watched them countless times. So it just becomes pointless for me to debate such things :lol

Not my point but I can see where my statement was confusing.

I wasn't implying that the Bay movies had bad SFX, just the writing that made the characters... well, I don't know about unbelievable (frankly the humans were probably more unbelievable than the Transformers, now that I think about it)... but we just didn't care.

The SFX were fine. My point was that with good writing and good effects, no one would actually care that the designs were more "blocky" and G1ish. They might say otherwise right now, but I don't believe it. Audiences have bought into much cheesier designs on film.

I see what you're saying now by I still don't agree. But that's more than likely due to the fact that, despite their flaws, I still liked the movies. I cared about the characters. Not saying the writing was great b/c I know it wasn't (especially in ROTF) but I still cared about the characters.

But lets just say that they did go with more G1 designs like some folks want, I know I'll still enjoy the movie(s) b/c I like transformers as a whole not bits and pieces. I even enjoy the (though to a much lesser degree, have to be in the mood to watch) Armada, Energon, Cybertron and Animated shows. I hate anime style so transformers in that style was bothersome to watch but I still enjoyed them. Like I told Kara though, we won't know unless it actually happens, I just know that to me, for multimillion doar movie, G1 designs are visually uninteresting.

I just don't want my views on G1 designed movies to be misinterpreted as me hating on G1, which is usually what ppl think when I try to discuss this topic of the movies

Anybody POed from this site before:

Price is wayy cheaper than bbts

I have, pretty good experiences.

Only if something comes screwed up... well. Their customer service isn't nearly as good as BBTS, TFSource, or Automaton Toys (a Canadian company). I'm sure it costs them more to send replacements and what not, as they are located in China, but still.

I got the Dr. Wu Wheeljack head and it was defective - they told me they would "contact the manufacturer for a replacement" which is a pretty lame way of "dealing" with it. The other companies I mentioned above would have just sent a new one, no problem.

I would still order from them again, though. They are quite a bit cheaper for the most part. I'm getting my MP Soundwave and Sideswipe from them. I would be a bit wary of third party products from them in the future, since they seem to have QC issues more often (at least in my experience).

Though I did get most of my Hercules figures from them...

Brother was just at TRU...they have one MP Prime..was thinking about picking it up..but sucks it is $120 now. And for the movies..I would love a reboot...make them G1 style..would be so much more enjoyable...I would actually know who Iron Hide was and didnt need them to point him out.

I imagine MP-10 will get easier to find soon, and there will be Christmas and Boxing Day/Week sales...

they are located in China? so are they legit?

Btw, I saw the 20% off ad on toysrus for online shopping, but how do you make use of that option? I tried to check out my cart, but it doesnt work for some reason :dunno

There's actually a 20% off any regular priced item coupon in the paper for TRU this week. I was thinking about using it on MP TC

Just got back from picking up a Prime using the coupon. Came out to $102 and change out the door. Still a little pricey, but much better than the $119.99 plus tax before coupon. Looks like this TRU just got them in, as they were all still in cases on the top shelf.

Can you use the 20% coupon if you order Optimus with in store pickup? I'm worried it'll be sold out by the time I get a chance to make it to the store.

You can actually buy things from them, and if they offer a better discount within a week you can bring the receipt into the store and get the discount (or at least, that works over here). So, it stands to reason that would work. If not, you could try to return it, and then immediately say "I want to buy that thing I just returned with this coupon" :lol
