Perhaps takara could solve the possible MP-combiner size problem by doing official Predaking. Each bots could be approx the size of Sideswipe and Razorclaw could be slightly taller.

I'm slightly worried about the FP Stunticons, preorders should have been up last month according to them at TFCon.

I like the Stuntacons, but am also a bit put off by the same mold being used twice in the same gestalt robot. They couldn't even do some minor re-molding to make all the alt modes different?

Well those are just CGI-pics for now I think, but maybe they are final.

I wouldn't mind almost any official MP-grade combiner, but Predaking would be really cool. Most of them have these scale issue, but they can always throw the whole scale thing out of the window.

At this point, I think companies would do well to scale their combiners with Hercules, because folks who will buy other combiners probably already own that one.

IIRC, those aren't official pictures but fanart, based on the prototype pics. I think it's already been confirmed that Wildrider will have his own mold.

Loving the Stunticons, but I wish they were deluxe sized. It would make Menasor more formidable, and it'd be nice for them to be in scale with Classics.

That is why people shouldn't post fanmade renderings, cause it confuses people. There has only been two prototype of the Stunticons and they each have their own mould so far.

A fair point but the prototypes look crap as well

FansProject seem to lack any kind of balls when it comes to getting near official IP's and if the likes of iGear and TFC carry on in the same fashion as they have been doing recently then they will continue to eat dust.

They have both done a bit of Classicsverse style redesigning ( TFC's Silverbolt and iGear's Cosmos ) but I think that the new direction the Masterpiece line has taken is slowly but surely making the Classics style obsolete and in the long term FP would be wise to follow the trend.....if there was going to be any legal action taken by Has/Tak it would have happened by now.

The postie delivered Red Alert this morning and like Sideswipe it is a thing of beauty....the Henkei version was nice but this is on a whole different level and it's remarkable when you consider that there's not much difference in scale.

Based on the known info it looks like Sunstreaker won't get announced for at least a year but I have no doubt that it will complete the trio of Autobot Lamborghinis in style.....both Sideswipe and Red Alert are as good as Transformers get,

Bring on Soundwave and the tapes!

I wasn't sure on the retooled shoulders with the fake wheels as they're smaller than the actual wheels and don't roll but they're not too bad in person, it's nice Takara made the effort the change things a bit as retooling the whole arm area would have cost too much.

I saw a bit of one of the comics recently and thought the artwork on certain characters was crap but Swerve was funny.

Hot Rod appears to have a weird G1/Bayformers hybrid thing going on which is something I understand has happened a lot recently.

Whirl looks a bit crappy in that series as well.

Haven't read that one yet. The bot design... changes depending on the current artist. some of the early ones happend to Like the bayformers ascetic... And it can make for some wonky looking bots. Unsurprisingly, This was almost universally LOATHED by the readership. The mood was, these are g1ish universe comics, they need to look G1. Keep the by designs in the bayverse comics. They've been SLOWLY edging this out of the comic little by little.. you should have seen some of the artwork from a few years ago.

But they've gotten much better, and some "gundam-esque" details dont bug me. That, and my so far favorite version of arcee. For me, THIS is my definitive Transformers universe/lore.

Congrats. Red looks good! Wonder how he scales with Universe Inferno? I'm going to skip picking him up for now. Hopefully later next year after the tapes are released, and when my wallet recovers.

MP01 and MP05 are placeholders until DX11, DX13, and Catwoman arrive. No idea where to fit Starscream, Soundwave and his minions. Looks like I may need another detolf. Excuse the ****ty phone pics.

Well, I don't think it's fair to say its obsolete. It's still pretty popular - just not so much with those of us who where in it purely because it was the closest we had to a modern G1 line.

I think the hybrid of G1 and Bayformers style shown in the first examples you posted is OK apart from the faces and although not ideal it would have looked better than what was vomited onto the screen....the Seeker design looks way better than the Dorito with chicken legs that Bay thought was acceptable for Starscream.

I like the Spotlight series, there's a couple of ones with dodgy art such as Kup's but Wheelie's & Arcee are decent and I also like the Ironhide mini series as Metroplex shows up and swats a swarm of Insections with one giant hand

I think Inferno will be a tad bigger than Red as iGear's Specialists are around the same size.

I'm probably being harsh on the CHUG style, I suppose it comes from reading too many posts at TFW from people who seem to think every release should be made in that style....others may think the same about my stance but I'm not saying the lines I dislike should stop being made....with the possible exception of Bayformers

I had him boxed up for the longest time. Luckily I came across some pics of people putting their Brave Maximuses in detolfs a while back. I think you'll be very happy when your PO comes in.

Thanks alot. Sounds like Red Alert and Inferno would look pretty cool together. Just don't tell Firestar.
