Wow, noones posted this over here yet!?!?! Thanks to the pics shared on TFW2005, here's the first in-hand pics of MP Soundwave!!! No idea how this lucky guy got it so early. But I cannot wait until my MP-12/MP-13 order comes in from RK!!!

Me too - I ordered both at the same time as well so it'll be nice to finally get Sideswipe, too. :)

Yea, I can't believe how much his price has shot up. Your looking at $220 easy. I think I sold my Takara one for about half that.

Has there been talk of a redo of MP Megatron? I tried to like it, but I never did.

Lots of talk - but really just speculation by fans. I think it's likely - I mean, he's Prime's opposite number, after all.

I liked the first one myself but I never ended up opening mine, and sold it not too long ago. I think it's fine, as I have an appreciation for the original toy designs as well as the cartoon models, but it just doesn't fit with the new scale. I was a bit put off by reports of "rust" on the feet and an overly complicated/fragile transformation, too.

Got MP Prime for Christmas! Now Sideswipe has a buddy.

Congrats man!

And Merry Christmas to all TF fans. :)

But ya, I can't believe it but I've been going back and forth with buying up the MP line again. I haven't bought a TF in a loooong time.

My MP Megs has been sitting in his box most of his life sadly. He looks great, but thats about it.

That is Herc.

Maketoys Giant is best for scaling with the Fansprojects stuff.

TFC Hercules is best for scale Classics wise, personally. Each one is voyager scale, big, beefy, play worthy. But also about $150+ more that Giant.

Cheers bro. Just seen a side by side comparison review and I have to say Maketoys 's piece is a stunner and has the edge but everyone's mileage will vary. I'm all over that version though :yess:

Which review was that?

Mine too :(

But that said all of my MP figures are still in their boxes :monkey2:cuckoo:

Never had the space to be able to display them so they just reside in their cardboard prisons at the moment :monkey2:monkey2

I've got some space, but really, he just seems too delicate. I had him and MP-01 out at one point. might put them back out soon.

Congrats! Took a while for me to get a MP Prime. But when I finally did, I was pretty blown away.

Cool display. Didn't realize how well BB and Prowl scale size-wise compared to Prime, SS and the seekers.

Megs is pretty fragile. I haven't even attempted transforming him for fear of breakage. That being said, I absolutely love him! He's the perfect companion piece to MP-01/MP-04! There might be problems putting him in dynamic poses because his oversized fusion cannon makes him lean to one side. But I found that if you lift the tabs on the top of his feet up to the bottom of the shin (covering the ankle joint), it will help stabilize Megs.

Oh my goodness the chicken legs and over-sized arm cannon look so wrong. Sold mine along with MP Prime and trailer when MP10 was announced.

Can't wait for Takara to release pics of the new Megs. Will look awesome next to SS, SW, and OP.

I was blinded into thinking how great he was for the first two years I owned him, then realized how horrible he really was. I do agree its the perfect companion piece to MP-01/04, but as a standalone piece, or even with the Seekers and upcoming Soundwave, he really looks terrible.

I'm really surprised no 3rd party has ever come up with a way to thicken his legs out. I think tat would make a big difference aesthetically.
