Anyone here plan on getting MP Tigertracks? Think im gonna pick him up,love this mold.

It's not top priority for me but I like the mold so much I won't rule out getting it and the same goes for a G2 Sideswipe if one is made.

With molds of this quality it's tempting to start a small display of the obscure variants as I'd like to support the fully licensed Autobot cars as much as possible.

As much as I love the S2 characters, I want those 2 to be Sunstreaker (a given) and Mirage. But Jazz or especially Trailbeaker will probably be more likely with slight retools for the molds. I'm very partial to the S1 cast. But first thing's first, Megatron or Galvatron has to be next!

I'm just gonna assume Bumblebee and Cliffjumper get made as iGear MWs.

Sunstreaker is a favorite but not quite as essential as a character, I think. Close though, and so is anyone else from season 1.

This is what I've been told recently,

Sunstreaker will be an original mold and released towards the end of the initial deal with Lamborghini.

The two licenses that have apparently been acquired recently are Mitsubishi ( for Hound ) and Ford ( for Mirage ).

Mirage is an intresting one as it seems that Takara went to Ford as they own Cosworth....who made the engine for the Ligier JS11.

Ligier themselves haven't been involved in F1 for over a decade so they either had no objection to the JS11 being used or they may even have sold the rights to Ford, that bit wasn't clear.

Megatron V2 is "finished & imminent, possibly as soon as MP20"

Without any proof it's easy to say all this sounds too good to be true but as I mentioned before the person who told me this told me about Prowl 2-3 months back and refused to take my money for a custom Sunstreaker as in his own words he said "the official one will be better" so I'm pretty confident he's on the level.

It's not Porsche Par-se it's the whole VAG group that owns Porsche that hates violence so Jazz is a no-no

I think I know which 2 but my lips are sealed until Corsair gives a nod, don't want rumours getting out of control before something concrete appears & we all look like buffons or even worse get someone on the inside into big trouble for potential leaking of information.

Needless to say if it is true it's great news & I'm excited

Not exactly. it's Volksvagen that does. Porsche is under the umbrella, but iI do believe there is some prescedent from the alternators line that might allow for it?

or was it in the DOTM movie.

Assuming all my info is legit I think Sunstreaker is more likely to be next year....unless more announcements for releases post September ( when Bluestreak is released ) are made.

The new molds will have to be balanced out with some more repaints/retools so variants of the Nissans, a G2 Sideswipe, MP10 without a trailer, more Seekers and Soundblaster will probably get thrown into the mix as well.

If this is all going to go down in the future then that means I'm going to cut down on my budding HT addiction. I'd rather get all of the above than spend all my cash on the camo Tumbler or '89 BM.

You guys were having a fascinating discussion over Bay's characterization (or should I say bastardization) of Optimus Prime's in DOTM. That last scene where he just murders Megatron and executes Sentinel was brutal. Definitely not characteristic of the noble, honourable, "John Wayne" version that I grew up with. But the cartoon was black and white. You knew what was right from what was wrong. No one ever died on the tv show. You never got the sense of what the war did to him, how it changed him as a person/bot, especially after fighting for millions of years.

My rational for his actions is that Prime was basically pushed over the edge. He was exiled from the Earth, betrayed by his mentor, lost Ironhide. That is some heavy traumatic stuff right there.

Just thought I'd throw in my $0.02.

That said, I watched TF:TM again over the weekend. That scene with Prime asking Megatron to beg for is life was something that I've always questioned as a kid. I always thought Optimus would never do that when weighted against what I watched from the cartoon.

I've tinkered with my TF display as a result. This is how TF:TM should have ended:

When that picture of MP-10 with the G1 Ultra Magnus armour was posted by the lead designer (I think), I was sure he was going to come out sooner rather than later.

RK just re-listed MP-15 at $54.90. Damn the price hike!! I was silly to leave it to the last minute to try and order before, so I just went ahead to order it now along with MP-16. I dont mind waiting another month or so to get both. Just glad I was able to order it!

if Prime killed Megatron DURING the fight, that's one thing. I've always felt that he would have accepted Megatron's surrender if he had offered it. Not that he ever would have.

I'd always miss that slight intonation in the second line. I'd interpret that line as, "You who are without mercy? Now plead for it. I thought you were made of sterner stuff."

Did they ever show any of the missing footage that was cut from the final version?

As to accepting Megatron's surrender, yes Prime probably would. Even with all the Autobots that died.

Karamazov, I haven't really heard of anything atm. I bought mine on impulse because I saw his price going up and more shops being out of stock. I still don't get why SS was by passed for Acidstorm.
