Great pics Silent Bob, welcome back to the thread! I love the minute details on Rumble's face. As for Ravage, he looks to be my favourite of the tapes so far! The kibble of the hind legs don't look to be all that noticeable. I paid off my invoice yesterday but will have to wait a while for some other stuff to come in.

As for Starscream, maybe the best we can hope for is a reissue from TT? Like a ghost or "sleep" version? Who does their market research on what figures to release for the MN market? Maybe if the fandom complain loud enough they might reconsider?

They "launch" out of his tape deck? :lol

I thought I read that somewhere. Good to hear, so I can have one of my old G1 tapes in his chest while the other little robots can be posed around him.

Thanks buddy !!
The detail on these guys is really, really good for their size and (on mine at least) the QC and paint apps are spot on. Ravage really is tiny in person but he has great proportions and the little bits if kibble are hardly noticible in hand. I think I actually prefer him to Device Label Ravage. Hope you get them soon

Well "launch" was probably the wrong word :monkey3 They just eject like the Gen1 figure. The difference is Soundwave can hold three in his chest at once and eject them individually. I'm using a re-issue Lazerbeak in my Soundwave at the mo. These little guys are to cool to leave in tape mode.

Awesome pics mr Bob.

Glad you have them & are pleased with them...they look immense which makes it even more painful that I haven't sorted mine out yet :(

Can't wait to see Frenzy & Buzzsaw when you get them

DPrime, soundwave,
It got people talking about something positive but with hindsight I should have been a bit more vague as I got a bit carried away and I regret that :slap

Silent Bob,
Congrats on recieving the tapes, they look fantastic! :clap

Nice comparison pics with the originals and also some of the recent packaging.

When MP12 was first released it was a bit weird having a Masterpiece in such a small box but it'd be a bit pointless having smaller characters in huge boxes so it's no bad thing and they still look great.

It's awesome having 1 Sideswipe for each mode, if I could have only 1 more new Masterpiece mold it would be Sunstreaker.

One thing I noticed whilst looking at Sunstreaker's G1 toy recently was that his alt mode was a lot sleeker than Sideswipe who was a fairly chunky looking rendition of a Countach so although they were meant to be the same car they looked very different, almost like they were from different lines.

With MP12's alt mode looking so realistic I can see Sunstreaker being made to match his alt mode proportions a lot more so they fit together better even though the transformations will be different.

Meh, no harm done, I'm sure.

If you end up being right, you will be a god in that thread... like what's his name... cracker-something? And we'll all be happy. :)

In other TF news I've been running to the TF:TM soundtrack lately. It's surprisingly good - the Stan Bush songs and Vince di Cola instrumentals (they remind me of Rocky IV) really get the blood pumping. And, funny enough, "Dare to be Stupid", which has a perfect beat for the pace I'm going. :)

If the info is right, then most Masterpiece collectors will be happy.

If not I might get some people calling me names for a bit, such is the nature of forums.

Life goes on.

I thought he said something to the effect that he wasn't in the know anymore?

But who knows, maybe he's just saying that. :)

Still, even those with actual connections can be "proven wrong" if the company decides to halt a project for some unforeseen reason... happens all the time, I'm sure. Doesn't mean the info was ever incorrect.

Thanks mate. They really are great in hand :yess:
They are sold out at Kapow, but there seem to be a few on Ebay for pretty much the same price. Really hope you manage to get them in hand soon, every Soundwave needs his minions and you are no exception right? :)

I'll deffo post pics of Frenzy and Buzzsaw when they arrive !!

Thanks buddy. You will be in for a treat when you get all 4 cassettes together. That'll be a GOOD day !!

I actually just transformed Gen1 Sunny and Sidey and the the front of Sunstreaker is far more accurate to an actual Countach. Much sleaker, flatter and lower to the ground. I hope the MP is as close to MP12 in alt mode as possible (with the turbo charger). If I could only buy one more MP figure it'd be Sunny...... twice. Even over Version 2 Megs !!!

If MP Sunstreaker doesn't happen I'll be first in line with a torch and a pitchfork !!!

Only joking mate....................... mostly :wink1:

Bob

Those Cassettes are awesome!! :rock!
I'm still debating wether or not to get them along with Soundwave or just wait for the Hasbro version!! :gah:

In any case!
I'm really excited since I just received iGear's Ironhide and Art Feather's Bumblebee!!

And even though I have iGears Faith Leader v2 I am know thinking about getting MP-10 Optimus... :panic:

As long as I don't get too excited and forget to take due care during transformations it'll be a good day.

If he happens Sunstreaker will likely fit with Sideswipe's proportions as Takara will probably use the same 3D model as a starting point.

On that note there's some disturbing news,

TCracker has now hinted that some kind of contractual issue with Lamborghini may have arisen as MP12 & MP14 won't be getting another run and Tiger Track is in doubt as the license for the Countach is apparently "gone".

He says he was told Lamborghini are being extra nitpicky which has lead to some predictably paranoid doom mongering about the future of licensed vehicles in the MP line from other TFW members and some more reasonable speculation that the paint issues which occurred with MP12 & MP14 may be why Lamborghini are unhappy.

As we already know from the VW/Porsche situation many car companies are picky about how their properties are represented so it's not unrealistic for them to possibly get pissed about something like the paint apps.

Sunstreaker was based on a concept design that I don't think was ever built so despite the obvious similarities to the Countach it would seem to require a seperate license so if Takara are able to smooth things over he should hopefully still happen.

If not it would suck but it wouldn't be the end of the MP line as we know it as there's plenty of other characters that can be made.

Hmm...

Well, if true, I guess iGear and/or FansToys can step up to the plate, right?

It would seem like a perfect opportunity for either. My only concern with iGear is that they seem to have so many other things on the table it might get lost in the shuffle.

Well, at least they're on the ball with the Mini-Warriors, it seems.

Be pretty hard for a small company to deal with much more than that, I'm sure. Maybe FansToys then.

Though I would PREFER Takara when it comes to any of the '84/'85 cars, personally.
