Well, while we may take everything the designer said in the interview at face value, it's not him that pulls the strings, but higher ups. So while he wants to make everyone, I think the line will run out of steam before that.

I'm very, very eager to see how\if they ever materialize MP Bruticus. This is indeed the second time Shogo Hasui has mentioned him specifically. It'd be an awesome 2014 release if they made Onslaught [MP10 size] and the other four [MP12 size I guess?]. Just make it so every extra part [gestalt fists, feet etc] are actually extra. FOC Bruticus was too compromised because these parts were integrated.

It's going to be a repeat of Classics\Universe\Generations and Binaltech sooner or later. They will run out of characters people care at a point. Everybody loves a Prowl, a Sideswipe, a Magnus...but do as many people love a Pipes, a Reflector, a Shrapnel, a Grapple, a Tigertracks and so on?

I am with you though if they start pumping out later series characters then I might have to be very selective...there are a lot I don't really care for & don't need

I AM from tfw2005 under the exact same username. And I'm telling you, once the A-names are done sales and production will drop.

Jazz, Ironhide, Wheeljack, Tracks, Trailbreaker...they have a market, sort of. Most other G1 names don't really, despite what we think of them.

Don't get me wrong, I'd really, really love a complete G1 set but history has twice shown us that such a thing won't happen within a single line.

Sadly, not many people will be as excited for an MP Grapple, Hoist, Gears etc.

Both lists are good, I'd just add shockwave and ironhide. Ultra Magnus though is still my ultimate MP figure I'm hoping for followed by Galvatron

now, IF they get made by takara, I'll buy them, but I don't NEED takara to make them to feel "complete"

First I've heard of anything like that about prime Arcee. It's possible i missed a comment somewhere. where's your info regarding her from?

Personaly, I'm not a fan of Delacate warrior/igear arcee. it's mostly the head. she looks like shewas designed to go in a collection of actualy G1 toys, as opposed to updated, modern ones.

but at the end of the day, if you like it, THAT"S what matters.

To be honest I may be wrong on that, it's been a while since I've been intrested enough in Hasbro to keep track on everything.

Fair enough on iGear Arcee, I don't think she's 100% perfect but as a Masterpiece is unlikely I can't see there being a better one unless another 3rd party has a go.

I think that anyone expecting a full lineup of G1 characters in the MP line is setting themselves up for a lot of disappointment as licensing issues will prevent some characters and others just won't be financially viable.

I completely agree, however they do need to make those characters anyways since Masterpieces are geared towards collectors in the first place and not mass retail, and they know good and damned well that a good percentage of the collectors buying these things are looking to complete out G1.

Meant it figuratively in terms of who the line is directed towards, and I still stand by the point made in that post. I understand, and respect different opinions, but honestly, if I wanted a "transformers all stars" lineup over a completed season, then I could've stuck to classics and been done rather than investing into this line.

Have you guys got your MP Rumble and Ravage set already? The store from where I ordered mine, informed that they are delayed, but maybe some larger stores have got them already.

Just got mine yesterday! Though it was a total surprise because I thought Automaton was going to ship this together with some other stuff later on.

Love the engineering that went into Ravage! I will say that Spike looks a tad out of scale though when placed side by side with Frenzy err... Rumble.

Reason Binaltech/Alternators an Classics ran out of steam because they kept sharing molds and became stupid. The MPs can go on until they make every single G1 character with their own mold like the toons and toys and after that they can reboot it again and we'll rebuy it again.
