Yeah, I'm like this too. At least when it comes to "universes" - I'm fine with having an Animated Prime, a TFP Prime, an MP Prime, etc.

G1 style, I have a TFC reissue, a 20th Anniversary version, Faith Leader and MP-10. I should probably look at getting rid of one of those, though... Maybe Faith Leader, as much as it pains me to say so. I guess it depends on how I display my MPs once MP-10 gets here. If Grimlock is separate, then maybe I'll keep him.

In the end, TFs only make up part of my collection. I can't overload myself with them, and if the ones that don't fit can pay for other stuff, why not?

Trading has been very satisfying lately. Looks like I'll be trading of my Henkei Hound for an MP Red Alert! Not bad as he is one of the few Henkeis I picked up for fairly cheap.

Lol I'm exactly the same with my Primes.
I have a loose complete original Prime, sealed boxed TRU re-issue, TRU Anniversary MP-01, Faith Leader & TRU MP10.
I also have an original issue boxed Power Master Prime but not sure if that counts

I am very tempeted to get the Hybrid Prime as well as he looks pretty sweet.

Should be ordering my one this weekend then I'm up to date.

I think QuakeWave is currently the best 3rd party Transformer out there especially in terms of build quality.

I did also have Encore Prime, Hybrid Style Convoy and the Animated Voyager at one point but they went a long time ago to help pay for other things.

Nice work trading the Henkei Alert for the Masterpiece, it's one hell of an upgrade!

Hybrid Style Convoy is a bit fiddly due to the size and the truck cab isn't great but the robot mode is a lot of fun and the trailer is particularly well done.

Someone at TFW posted a recent interview with Takara designer Shogo Hasui who apparently wants to do MP Jazz , MP Ultra Magnus and MP Combaticons.

He designed MP12 so if Takara ever get the Porsche license it seems likely he'll be on the case for Jazz which would be the greatest selling Masterpiece Autobot car ever.

In addition he also designed MP10 so it seems probable that he'll get to do the armor for Magnus. So it'll probably be awesome and I'll end up with a white repaint of MP10....Noooo!

I doubt MP Combaticons are in Takara's plans which is probably as well for me as my OCD about scale would take over and cause my head to explode!

I'm actually a BIT sad to see Henkei Hound go, as he's definitely one of the better figures in the entire CHUG line(s)... but there's no reason not to expect an MP version at this point, and I've already started to trade off and sell the CHUG stuff, so there's no going back now!

Is that based on the Diaclone colours?

So if we do see official Iron Hide it looks like he would be almost as tall as MP10 Prime then.

I think it's just a very deep yellow, combined with the fact that you're viewing it on a monitor.

On my screen, it doesn't look red at all, but maybe a bit orange... No doubt he'll be the right colour if/when he's produced, but maybe a bit deeper than Bumblebee would be.

Actually now you've said that I can see it's not quite red here either, somewhere between dark Yellow / Orange as you said.
My monitor at work is pretty shocking at the best of times so expect that's pretty much the problem.

Yeah I'm really hoping for Trailbreaker.

I loved him in the cartoon, the G1 toy was pretty sweet as well but he always seemed woefully unstable when you tried to stand him up & as with every figure that came with separate fists I lost them But he was still awesome

I'm assuming that hoist would require some retooling of the mold so might not make financial sense for them both for a little while & I'll guess we'll see more popular characters & those with big repaint potential before we see them.

The other thing with Swindle is if they do him then people will be demanding the rest of the Combaticons & I suggest that there might not be too much chance just now for them.

That said I'd love to see how they would tackle Onslaught I'm expecting much like Motormaster he'd be an absolute nightmare as everything is one piece on him.

Possible folks would get pissy about no constructicons, but I think the pros of him being released (read: $$$) would outweigh those cons. I would buy and display him. And hey, anything that could help persuade those those guys to make Hound is a good thing.

I think it's time a character with minimal repaint potential was thrown into the mix to help keep the momentum going.

Give or take a few retooled parts the first 6 MP Autobot cars have been from 2 molds so now it's time to take things to the next level and show that the other ones aren't going to be ignored unless they're unable to get the licenses.

If we get a character with minimal repaint potential soon, I figure it will be Megatron. Apart from that, it doesn't follow Has/Tak's MO to release figures they can't milk. We haven't seen much of it from MP-10 (that I've noticed), but Rodimus got a repaint and U.S. rerelease, the seekers obviously are getting all the skittles rainbow colors covered, 2 figures based off of Sideswipe (3 if that yellow one happens), at least 3 based off of Prowl. . .

I personally don't think it slows down the momentum of the line so long as they release them in close proximity, and so long as they mostly aren't fan-fiction/exclusive type redos like the "evil" Rodimus or Prime, or this Hound repaint you linked to.
