First of all, as I had suspected for a while now, Cordelia was the supreme! This makes me very happy, and it really was a natural progression of her arc as downtrodden to triumphant. I mean, they COULD have made it more depressing but they didn't. I think that's the thing I loved the most about the finale. It was the most resolutely positive finale we've had yet, I think. The only thing that dampens it some is the horrific end Misty faced. For such a tender soul to be trapped forever in hell is dark as dark can be. But it made a lot of sense, too. I think part of the reason the other girls made it back without much issue is they just had a bit more edge and cynicism to them, which I think actually helped them in that situation.
I thought the resolution to Fiona's arc was really well played. That last scene was just magic (pun intended.) I mean, the whole time I was worried that Fiona might somehow kill Cordelia at the last second. But she didn't, and Cordelia helped her let go. Of course, the end of Fiona was never going to be pleasant. Fiona's cry "Is that... NOTTY PINE?!" may go down in history as a wonderfully camp and immortal line. Also, the Stevie Nicks video at the start? Pretty kick-***, actually.
Now, it wasn't all wine and roses. Kyle's story pretty much fell flat to me. As was the love story between he and Zoe. But at least it didn't take up way too much time by the end. I also thought it was kind of creepy that he became the help! Hopefully he resists murdering anyone else!
