I just saw the trailer to this film Starring C Bale,J Lawrence,B Cooper J Renner and Amy Adams...It takes place in the 70's and the trailer was outstanding with the Led Zep Good Times,Bad Times song...Based on true story I believe and I could see Oscar Nominations maybe for this one

Re: American hustle

I can hardly wait....our former Batman looks like Oscar marerial again in this...

Re: American hustle

Tonight, I had my first double feature in probably 5 years (that wasn't part of some sort of theater sponsored marathon). I started off with Anchorman 2 (which was hilarious, by the way), and, following that, I saw this. That was the perfect order of things, though, because this ended the night perfectly. I legitimately think this is the best film I've seen this year, and it's probably my favorite film of those I've seen this year. It hit some personal notes, as well, which is part of why I'm so partial to it, but, honestly, if you get the chance, see it. David O. Russell has done it again, and I genuinely hope this nabs Christian Bale his second Oscar because, dammit, he sure as hell deserves it.

Some high praise. This looks good, I didn't see Silver linings and only liked the fighter. This looks better than those to me though, I'll be seeing this next week maybe. Best film of the year so far for me is 12 years a slave and will probably take all the major oscars and I doubt this film will sway my opinion of 12 years. This looks like it's a great 70s crime drama, really looking forward to seeing it along with Wolf of Wallstreet.

Re: American hustle

I really want to see 12 Years. It's one I missed, but it looks fantastic. I think David O. Russell's just really hit his stride, as of late. I loved The Fighter, I loved Silver Linings, and I loved American Hustle. The soundtrack, too, is absolutely fantastic. It's heavily featured, but it's just great, great stuff.

Like I said, though, if you get the chance, definitely try to see it.

12 years is a rough film but it wouldn't be right if it wasn't. I saw a few people walk out of the movie half way through because they couldn't watch it anymore. I want to see Hustle, Into the Furnace, The wolf of Wallstreet, and Walter Mitty. It just sucks three of these films come out within a week of each other lol

Re: American hustle

I will be seeing this on the 1st Jan when it is released here with my pal Snake Eater :)

Yeah, it seems like movies have been hitting non-stop lately. Last week, my buddy's wanted to see The Hobbit, so I missed Out of the Furnace, and this week, I got to see two of the films I wanted to see, but I still want to catch that Saving Mr. Banks (I'm a sucker for Tom Hanks movies :lol), and then, next week, The Wolf of Wall Street hits, and, on the flip side of that, so, too, does Grudge Match.:lol

Re: American hustle

12 Years a Slave was my top film of the year so far. Really incredible film. I’m going to see American Hustle tonight.

Re: American hustle

I can't stop thinking about this film. As much as I want to see those other films I listed, I just want to see "Hustle" again.

Re: American hustle

I really think that Bale steals the show, though. Everyone's fantastic, but he just really was a pleasure to watch.

I also really, really enjoyed Robert Deniro's scene.

He always steals the show and he is always a pleasure to watch.
