Yeah, the fire seems to have died down from them... but still a lot of product yet to be released. Blacula is my only "must have" right now, but there are a good amount of figures I'm interested in.

I had to make a business trip down to Florida last week and got a chance to stop by the sculptor's studio that are doing a lot of the sculpts for Amoktime and Executive Replicas. There have been some factory issues that have slowed down the process of getting out some of the figures. Also some of the figures, like the Boris Karloff, were tweaked to achieve more accurate portraits. They have more new stuff on the way as well that they hinted at, but were not aloud to talk about or show. Amoktime's preorder listings were to help guage interest, and to make sure they didn't waste time and money on manufacturing figures that they couldn't sell. To the artist knowledge there has only been one prototype shown that "may" not make it into production. I was told to watch for coverage from NYCC and Toy Fair as many should be surprised and pleased with what is coming up.

I'm surprised such a small operation has already produced Klaatu/Gort, the Saucermen, the NOTLD zombie, and both the Teenage Werewolf and Frank! And let's not forget the 7" Bub and Pit/Pendulum statue. Seems to me they're doing extremely well at getting product out so far, and my wallet can use a little break anyway.

Don't forget Rondo with the big hands :)

Yeah, and this time I hope they don't stuff my order up. I will take it as a sign if they do and then they will be dead to me.

Is the one that "MAY" not make it The Creature From The Black Lagoon?

I should have kept my mouth shut. All I was told is that one of the 12 inch figures had fewer preorders than the others. Likely it will get produced anyway. These are all very unique characters so the chances of being able to recycle the parts into another figure are slim and none. Over all the sculptors said they have been told that everything has been well received, and that it will all get manufactured. Sometimes I think smaller production runs also get bumped to the back of the line if the factory gets bigger orders. There seem to be a lot more prototypes being prepared for the first of the year so hopefully fans will continue to support the effort.

While all of these products were sold by Amoktime they were not all produced by Amoktime. I thought the same thing until the sculptors straightened me out on it. The NOLD figures are produced by Executive Replicas. Invasion of the Saucer men, and Teenage Frankenstein and Werewolf were done by a European Company called BFFF. The artist I know work for Amoktime and Executive Replicas (as well as Scifimetropolis and Tonner), but not BFFF. Amoktime were also the producers of the Bub and the Vincent Price statue.

the next big figure I'm getting is that Vincent Price from The Pit and the Pendulum. The Monster recomended that to me and now I'm obsessing :lol
