Maybe they'll use the same bodies as the Saucer Men... those were pretty small...

Little fact I haven't seen mentioned much. Did you know The Saucer Men are made using Dr. Mego's repro Mego bodies? Dr. Mego being EMCE Toys, the guys behind the recent Star Trek and Planet of the Apes reissues, and supplier for Robot Chicken. Dr. Mego claimed they have been in the works for so long, he didn't even know if they were ever going to be released.

OK, I just made some comparisons, and I think Michael is on point.

I compared....

8" Mego
9" Mezco Orphans Leader
9.5" J.J. Armes
to
12.5" NOTLD Cemetery Zombie

8" Mego - too puny
9" Mezco Orphans Leader - Looks OK, but still a bit puny.
9.5" J.J. Armes - Looks good, and 10" would work just fine.

11" puts her at adult size, which is just plain wrong.

I don't know, I might purchase her anyway, and just display her separately somewhere. Other than scale I think the figure looks great, and NOTLD is one of my favorite films, so it will definitely be hard to pass her up.

I don't own the Saucermen, but I wondered if that's what they were using. I have to say, for as old as Mego bodies are they aer still pretty impressive, just wish they had ball jointed necks.

Yep, that 9.5" Abrams would be perfect, but 10" would be close enough. Is there any modern bodies out there in that scale? I wonder how an FC body would look...

OK, had some free time this evening so I decided to tackle the head swap and weathering of my Bill Heinzman. I have to say I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I actually used real dirt as I do with most of my customs when weathering is involved. Bad thing with this one all the dirt is hidden under the jacket, but oh well. Sorry for the bad pictures. I'm no photographer. I also repainted the brows. I didn't realize how bad the brows were until I started painting them. I told my wife they were uneven but she most old men has bad eyebrows and she approved. Keep in mind, I tried to go as movie accurate with the wears and tears based off the limited amount of photos found online.
