To bidge1000:(and any other open "taunter" of all things Kurgan, especially regarding a figure)

I am an interested customizer with an opinion in this, and I too want a Medieval Kurgan. I consider myself, one of these randy brigands myself, albeit, a bit more reserved one perhaps...
There may even be the remote possibility of a custom figure of the MK this year even, if things work out. Maybe...

But in three months!?!?! Because you say so, or "challenge" us about it?
No.:lol
Not you nor anyone else tells me how fast to make something. You don't even offer a reward!!!! You just say, DO IT! :rotfl :lol Yeah, ok. :lol

To quote my favorite Monty Python character ever, the French Guard in Holy Grail: "I f a r t in your general direction, you stuffy English Pig-dog! I blow my nose at you, you...K-NIG-H-T!" :D

Sorry, couldn't resist. :lol

But, I, and many others of us, do indeed have A LOT on our plates at the moment. If I gave you a literal count of how many seperate projects, for how many seperate customers, that I have to do RIGHT NOW, then you would just go...OH, and you'd probably be fine with that and go pick on someone else.

But, since you do not know what all I have on my plate, you can't understand how such an ambitious project might even be attempted in the time you have so arbitrarily alloted.

SO... again....
I say, NO. I see utterly no reason to put on a rushed dog and pony show for you or anyone else that thinks that the Kurgans are a bunch of whiners.

I'll get to it (if I do) when I get to it. And I bet the Kurgans will be ok with that. Then, after that, maybe I/we can make more. Maybe.

But to you I say, either ante up and offer something in the way of REAL motivation, something really worth all this taunting, or just let it go and get back to your business and let these other Kurgans lick their wounds and get over the utter dissapointment of what has transpired in the last year. It's been a tough one on them/us.

And in parting, WE will decide if and when a figure is made. Not you.
Thank you, drive through.

No more to say on this.
As far as I am concerned, it's dead wood.

Did you actually read my post about having the utmost respect for everyone on this board. Did you read my post on the 3 months being a time limit on getting the project at least moving? Did I actually ask you to do this project on your own? Lick your wounds if you must, fart in my general direction if you must:lol If you think I'm a tauntaun then that makes you a right wampa!!!

Ask yourself, can there really be only one Neca one???

I'm only responding to your tone and what you said directly. And yes, it did affect me somewhat.

There has been a lot of taunting back and forth regarding this subject, and I for one am tired of all that. Hence my response.

Again, SHOW ME THE MONEY! (or other such motivation)

*Yawns*
Whatever.

I will say this, Bidge understands a Kurgan a lot better them some ********s who ahve been around forever...

You read what a Kurgan said and choose to be entertained instead of offended.

I kommend you, sir.

:clap

and Les, that was quite possibly the most awesome post on the Kurgan I have ever read. (outside of the destroyed wastlands of what used to be Kurganistan... ):lol

my tone as you probably rightly put it, was tongue in cheek. I wasn't demanding you 'make this figure or we keeel your goldfish'.
As for motivation? If having the final product staring back at you isn't motivation enough then cool, carry on yawning. Good Day!

I SAID GOOD DAY!!!!!!!!! :emperor

... and he quote Willy Wonka... I kinda like this guy.

Yeah, he is entertaining if nothing else. :lol
Not without some feeling for us methinks.

Only part I guess made me mad, is the notion that we as a group, haven't already thought this from day one. :lol
This whole movement began as a quest for Sideshow to make one in the first place. It was always about the figure to me, hence my response.
For me, it's not really a lifestyle. I enjoy BEING one, but I don't live it.

BUT....

I still know what being a Kurgan is, so I know this, watch throwing gauntlets down to them/us....even if well intended. Kurgans are not level board players. And, this guy needs to understand, Willy Wonka or not (that was good), having started this, he (or she) will not end it.
They will not get the last word in on this.
:emperor or not...

Just a kind note to our generous new motivational benefactor. :D

(Already I can feel the growing fear...the looming encroachment of disciplinary intervention...the unappreciatively looming critical eyes of a certain, readied for bed, Frankensteinian Monster....This is exciting...I hope it lasts....:D )

Just so you all know, I adore you guys!! You are Kurgans, have great passion, PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE!!! You can make this happen!

Long Live The Kurgan Krusade, Long live figuremasterles who's a funny little fella.
As for gauntlet throwing???
I'm gonna see if I can contact Nick Maley to guest on this thread for a Q&A with you guys, not saying I can pull it off but i'll at least try.
Also, if a moderator is watching?:bow Can we somehow get a Q&A going with the Sideshow Sculptors for these guys to compare notes on why the Origins Kurgan was not made? Or at least if it was attempted? Be interesting to see some pics guys? I'm still sure this can be done!!

Anyone that says otherwise:emperor

This will never happen. We have talked with them through chats at Spooktacular and various sources "in the know" have basically stated that a Medieval Kurgan was attempted but they felt it wasn't successful enough for release.

As it stands now, Sideshow has no stake on the Highlander line since the title holders took the licensing right back. The line is deader the The Dead line. As dead as dead can be. dead dead dead.

Though Brock made a joke that maybe someday they will release "Generic Guy In Skull Armour". :lol

I think Brock already addressed the reasons why the Origins Kurgan was not made but the did sculpt some armor so they did make an attempt.

lots of people on both sides seem to have their knickers in a twist over this thread now. I'm not even interested in owning any Kurgan figures, but I feel like making myself one now just to piss some people off :lol

This thread baffles me. I hear a lot of complaining that the Medevil Kurgan wasn't made and also alot of people saying that they want one bad. Since the Sideshow line is dead, it seems that the only option is to make a custom. I know there is a lot of work that goes into making a custom and it takes a lot of time. I also realize that the customizers here are very busy. I still think that this is completely doable. It would be relatively easy to get a head sculpt made, as there are tons of talented artists here. As for the armor, well I can think of a couple people who could do it, although I don't know if they would be interested. Callous is making his own Halo Master Chief (https://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40750&highlight=Master+Chief) I know he could do it, I don't know if he would have the time, though. Then there is Reggie who is making a Gears of War custom (https://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61633). Auret makes custom metal swords (https://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65622).

As for the price factor, well the more people involved and willing to get one, the lower the price becomes. Will it be more expensive than a Sideshow figure, yeah, but it will also be infinitely better than a Sideshow figure.

It would take time to get the project done, but in the end it would be worth it.
