I prefer the first choice of material because it just looked overall better. The futzed version in the regular QTVR looks alright better than what they showed at first. I want them to look as close to the film as possible but look great on display at the same time.

You are the biggest garbage tosser on these boards.

Well, having collected the PFs for a LONG time now, I don't know that I would be totally convinced that these robes were changed at all.

The PFs are almost always faithful the protos as far as paint is concerned, but the clothing usually goes through some rather significant changes. It is just about without exception that you see this in the process.

It is true however though, the original prototype did have a better drape to it; and while perhaps not completely accurate would have made for a better display.

I've only experienced Maul as an electronic PF, but since he's the latest I'd guess batteries, did the earlier ones have AC cords?

I hope both since some want the AC for how their cabinets are or batteries like me for those who can't use just the AC right now.

I think the best route is battery and AC option. Where I have my Maul PF right now, I could not reasonably plug it in so I'm glad I don't have to fight with that, but whenever it's an option, AC adapters are always better.

Not sure bout this PF, i really love the sculpt but the costume is a little off, i no this has been said countless times. the colour of the tunic was a little off, spesh the colour of the pants but i liked the robe, well at the very least i liked the way that it flowed. now seeing the updated pics of it i really dont like the updated robe. its great that sideshow take notice of our opinions but i prefered the original for the way it looked on the figure. is it likely that SS will continue to try and improve this PF through our coments? if so i would prefer some flow to my robe please.

After reading all the debate about the robe, IMO Irish and maulfan are right, the most important thing is the overall look of the figure and not the 100% accuracy... I do hope they will go back to the original robe and they might only wanted to tease us a bit with the Anakin QTVR they posted because of the bad feedback they received on the forums. I'm sure the production piece will be the best they can make... It is good to be heard like Sideshow did with the Plo Koon saber color and the Luke bespin gear outfit but this time It's different. People must let them work on the piece and let them decide which way is better to go with. Us Toyfare will take place in february isn't it?
Maybe there we will be able to see which robe they will go with.
I have faith in Sideshow, Anakin will turn out great!

I would prefer them to concentrate on the sculpt and outfit.They can do away with the Light up feature as far as I'm concerned.That's just more money they could be using to perfect the over all look of these PF's.
