Sorry to hear that man, it really is a great PF. Honestly I never light up the lightsaber on mine anyway, so I don't think it would bother me much. The Tusken Raider looks like a great PF too.

I don't light up the lightsabers of my PFs either. But a $300 collectible should be intact - optically as well as technically - nevertheless.

Yeah your right there, for that kind of money everything should be in order. I can definitely understand if someone wanted to send it back if it didn't light up.

It would certainly affect the resale value as well, so it's something I'd want to get taken care of. Even if you don't plan to ever sell something, you can never tell what might happen.
exactly, My obi wan didnt light up, and though i didnt bother me when I had it, when it came time to sell it I ended up losing about £60 on what I had paid, and the same with Darth Maul, In fact, theres a definite trend going on with Lightsabers on my PF's, oh well, at least Asajjs sabers light up!!!??? (JK)
It definately isn't being sent back, we love the figure. I think there is too much that can go wrong when the wiring goes from the base, through the figure, and into the arm. Too bad the electronics couldn't have only been in the arm (powered perhaps by a tiny watch type battery) and a flick of a switch on the saber itself, would light the blade!
Hey guys I just did my taxes and it doesn't look like I'm going to have enough money to buy all of the things that I wanted.So now I have to choose between getting the Anakin PF or getting the HT Iron man and HT Batman?

That's a tough call. If it's the Regular Anakin PF, no contest, go for the HT stuff. The regular Anakin will probably be available for a lot cheaper down the road (as all the PF's tend to be...)
Of course my gut also says that even if it's the Anakin EXCLUSIVE PF, you may still want to go for the HT stuff. If history indicates anything, The HT stuff tends to go up in value (Robocop, ALIENS marines, Predator, etc.) as they become harder to come by...and I have a feeling the HT Iron Man and Batman will ALWAYS be in demand. The Anakin PF exclusive is still available on second chance (as surprising as that is with how awesome the piece is), so there isn't even a demand for that yet.
Now, if SS announces a ROTS Obi-Wan PF...that could be a different story.
Ultimately though, go with what you would really rather have more in your collection.

IMO Chavez when looking at the finacial aspect of it the Sideshow Premium Format is going to steadily become cheaper while the HT figure rarely loose vaule and sometimes even appreciate. So I would go for the figures and get the PF in the future and if you need a bats lmk.

Well I decided to keep the Anakin because I have him on Flexpay.I was going to cancel and pay the $20 fee,but I just found out that since I already made a payment on it I would be charged $40.
So I think I'll just keep my Anakin order and then I'll just have to choose between HT Ironman or HT Darknight.
just finished flexpaying for the anakin pf and got the tracking info from sideshow, i should be getting it next Thursday.

Im seriously thinking about getting this - it would be my first PF, but is it worthwhile paying the extra for the exclusive? Its significantly extra as I live in Australia and I can get a standard version here for much cheaper. Appreciate your thoughts please.

Although I prefer to display him with the regular head, I think the Exclusive is worth it. I like to switch out the heads every once in a while to change him up. It really depends how much more the Exclusive is for you and how you intend to display him most of the time.
