Don't shoot me for saying this, but I think the Buck body may work for this version of Solo. Harrison Ford was pretty lean in ANH. More accurate proportions aside, I'm certainly not a fan of the Buck body and can't wait to see it retired for good.

And my ANH Solo arrives tomorrow! Woo!

I actually agree with you, I think the clothes work particularly well with the Buck body. I really haven't been bothered by it on this figure.

I am so friggin pissed off.
I was following my Han Solo's tracking and it was suppose to show up on Monday but the e-mail said my package has an "Exception"?
I was like WTF is that? I scroll down and it says
"ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS" in Chelmsford, MA.
Now don't get me wrong we've had some thunder & lightning here in the North East but that's about it. I mean it's not like Hurricane Katrina hit us.
My Pamela Voorhees e-mail said the same thing too!!!

I'm in the same boat as you, but I've seen them list Chelmsford before it even got there, I'm thinking our Han's may have gotten held up prior to Massachusetts, I'm thinking Wednesday delivery now, maybe tomorrow.

If they get lonely they can try to find my Pamela Voorhees figure. They could have a blast in the back of the Big Brown Truck!
LOL!

LOL! I am glad.....well not glad but at least feel better that others on the East Coast have received this message. Mine says about the weather as well and we have been fine. I guess he will come tomorrow.

My scars are not as bold as the ones on Justinlucks.

I think it was a paint ap that was supposed to be blended/feathered, but didnt happen.

I got my copy and I'm very pleased with the figure!

I'm not getting the chin paint. very strange choice. Ford has some indentations on either side of his chin, but they were never meant to be scars. My copy has a little bit of color in the sculpted groove, but not blatantly at all.

the clothes look GREAT to me. I really love how well the outfit came out. I think the portrait ended up pretty cool, but I'm always going to feel like I want to have a chance to do it over. I'm certainly glad some of you guys are really digging it. That's very gratifying!

The way they painted the eyebrows is so frustrating. Just look at them and then compare to the prototype on the box.

Agggh!!! :banghead

Based on comments I was prepared to be disappointed, but Han arrived today and I have to say - this is the guy I've been waiting 30 years for!

Sure there are some problems, I had to carefully try and open the holster more as there was too much glue - and I wish the collar would turn down more and the shirt was closer to the PF shirt color.

But other than that - I'm very stoked about him. I don't mind the Buck on him either, he has just enough clothes that he pulls it off.

Now bring on Luke!

I just realized that scar paint existed at all. Mine has similar red marks both on the chin scar and off to the side, but luckily they are quite faint. I had to hold the figure under a bright light to even notice them. Kind of odd choice for painting - I may have to paint over them, but since they aren't obviously apparent it isn't too urgent a correction.

I was however missing a rivet on the gunbelt/holster around the leg strap, so Sideshow is sending me a new one. :rock

Question...is the Chewbacca a custom ? I assume Han is SS figure ?

yep Chewbacca is a custom. I still haven't fixed his fur around his face and the Han is SS's....actually the Han this thread is about.

Sculpt is incredible on Han...paint takes away from it somewhat but I'm really digging Han the longer I own him...bushy eyebrows and all.

Got mine today. Figure's not that bad in hand, but it's not totally dead on. Like many of you, I think the paint is a source of the problem.

Something I've noticed photographing Sideshow and Hot Toys is that Hot Toys figures have a more natural flesh color in the face mostly because of the material used (Hot Toys uses a softer plastic whereas Sideshows heads have a clay/ceramic feel to them). That translates well in photography whereas the Sideshow heads looks really pale and lose detail. If you notice in the first pic above, there is a light wash in the hair to give it texture, but you'll hardly ever see that in a photo. I think the detailing coupled with the material Sideshow uses on its heads has a lot to do with why many of us flip out when we see photos of a figure before having it in hand.

Ya, I'm guessing the weather isn't necessarily at our local states, but somewhere along the way and in the UPS system they just post the adverse weather message next to the destination coming up in the system. Mine still says it so I'd guess tomorrow Han'll be delivered.

how easy is to remove a Sideshow head & graft it onto a hottoys body, I have a body waiting but dont want to balls Han up when i get him.

Just soak the head in hot water for a minute til it softens and they pop right off. As far as adding to the Hot Toys body, I've never done, but I think you'll need to glue the Sideshow head onto the HT neck adapter for a firm fit.

Well got my Han and I have to say its great! Its definately good enough to keep me collecting at least 1 more figure...bring on Luke!

Sideshow took payment for my Han figure on the 25th of June, the waiting is almost unbearable especially when i think about how long it is since i first pre-ordered it.
it's a pain in the ass constantly checking to see if my tracking email has arrived.
HURRY UP,HURRY UP,HURRY UP !
