I don't care for the material or weave of the shirt either. It looks thin and you can see the pink of the skin a bit through it.

Do you think the collar would lose all integrity if the inside layer was stripped out?

Thanks, Dean. Everything I had a complaint about was in the costume, and I'm sure you guys would all agree. My holster not working is probably just my own issue, but if you remove the boots, you'll see that his feet really ARE too small, which is why he keeps falling forward even though I had him pretty secure.

But argh, the shirt bothers me the most! It's not white! Is it??

Nope! You are right. It was an off-white. Nothing a wee bit of diluted tan paint can't fix. I may switch mine out with...dare I say it, a modified Hasbro shirt, just to see what it looks like on him. I agree that the material is wrong but the Hasbro, and even the ESB SS Han had the right material.
NICE looking figure though. I like the look of him and can't wait to get mine. I have a feeling Han and Luke may ship together to save me on shipping.
Now, what does everyone think of his blaster? Not the exclusive Greedo killer blaster, but the other 'Sandtrooper fight' blaster. It is clearly based on pre-production shots of Han's blaster but incomplete. Check this out:

Notice the thick bull barrel and detail on top of the barrel right before the muzzle? Also, missing on the SS blaster is the front grill.
HOW are we going to scratch these parts to make our blasters better?
Anyone? :monkey2

I did noticed. The bull barrel is too thin and the front grille is missing. The blaster that Medicom made for their ANH Hans looks more accurate.

Well, my package finally arrived yesterday, but I haven't been able to take him out of the box yet, because......my son arrived two hours before my Han arrived!!!

My wife gave birth to our second child yesterday at 12:30, both wife and my son John are doing great!

Make sure you check the baby out real well! But don't worry. If there is anything broken, Sideshow will send you replacement parts. Is he on the prometheus mannequin?

Of course I jest! Congratulations!

Finally got home and got Solo unpacked...
I'm very impressed with this figure. Trevor's sculpt is quite good and the paint on mine isn't as garish as some of the photos in here had me expecting.

Here's a quick shot...nothing as stunning as what Sean offered but...here it is.

I don't know...maybe I'm easier to please, but I think some of the reviews have been a bit harsh with this one...great sculpt, clean paint job (on mine anyway), good, well-tailored outfit (the vest is fantastic and I like the stronger material used for the "socks" that help keep the pants inside the boots plus it's cool how the sleeves are long enougn on the jersey to cover the wrist joints yet still allow for some gathering under the arms and at the elbows...well done indeed) and it's a small thing, but I like having the deluxe treatment with the box again here with the seperate tray for the accessories.
This figure is the finest representation of the scoundrel I've got in my collection now...thanks, Sideshow!

Now more than ever, I'm anxious for Luke to get here and join him.
More shots later...

Wow Coco... NICE work! And great shots everybody!

Tomorrow is the big reveal, just finished painting him up and I am very pleased with the results. Big praise to Trev for another amazing sculpt, a blast to paint... really did all the work for me. :rock

PICS tomorrow!! :D

Now that we have the drinking mug and the blaster that got Greedo. I am hoping we did be seeing Greedo soon.

Thanks for the compliments guys! :rock

I was a bit harsh on this figure but there were a few things I didn't like about him. I took points off for the Buck, especially since the arms on mine won't hold subtle adjustments. They keep popping back into place.
I took points off for the color of the shirt. SS could have easily made this an accurate cream color IMO. And I took points off for the belt. Too many joints. If I look at mine wrong it comes apart.

Overall look of the figure without a repaint = about a 7. After a repaint and shirt color tweak = a 10.

Trevor your sculpt is great! We all knew that from the unpainted sculpt shots but once I started repainting it I could really tell how good it was. Fantastic job!:bow
