Well I guess it about time to start avoiding the SW area. Pop in find out what new items are what and then leave. A handful peoples rants over and over just make this place no longer enjoyable.

SSC figures are far from perfect, but hardly crap.

I'm tired of the extremists. Both the apologist and the chicken littles. They give people with actual critical thinking skills a bad name.

I agree with the first two parts. I'm not sure if you can go lower than crap but we are in the SW section.

I'm tired of the exremists. However, I dont think there are any apologist here. I know people like me and Dave will get tossed in that but at least from what I can see I give my honest two cents on the issue. I take offense that if you're labeled this you "supposedly" lack critical thinking skills.

What specifically has increased in quality over the course of this line? The tailoring and quality of the costumes has remained about the same since Luke Jedi. The accessories are the same quality - not much room for improvement there as they've always been really good. The paint apps are still all over the place with slop, wrong colors, and lazy eyes. They're still using the lame Buck body.

Hiring Trev to do these recent sculpts over Mat has been a huge improvement. Past that, I don't know what else has consistently improved. Production costs have increased for SS and I would think that has accounted for most of the steadily increasing price tag rather than improved quality. The $70 Ki doesn't look any better, in fact it's worse IMO, than the $50 Luke Jedi.

Yeah, I think so too. I know I tend to get in the mix but its more from people on the far extreme in just ranting over and over about how bad things are. As much as people say just ignore them but they're every where sucking the fun out of it.

On the Buck long overstaying its welcome. I will repeat this mantra, ad naseum, until the day Sideshow gets over their attachment to that dinosaur.

IMHO, the $70 Ki Adi Mundi looks quite inferior to the $55 Kit Fisto.

I think the outfits have improved since Jedi Luke. Not that they where that bad to start. There continues to be the lack of issues as we move along. Yes, there are blips but less and less for everyone to gripe about. As far as sculpting Trev is great as is Tim Miller but Mat Falls is pretty damn good himself.

Well for me, my favorite 4 SS SW figures are the latest releases...Ben, Palps, Han and Luke... I see quite the improvement compared to Anakin, Yavin Luke and Bespin Han...secondary characters don't count for me...
