The way people react to these SW figures almost takes the fun out of collecting them. Everything is always the end of the world with a decent portion of the fan base. Not to mention again a decent portion of the fan base are whiny dicks.

How can someone else's opinion about a piece of plastic and cloth even remotely take the fun outta something YOU love to do? I don't feel that way at all and I have not modified (yet) not one of my figs. I like the line, period. If others don't, I respect that and their right to criticize it. Most criticize only cause they want to see improvement...and as a whole, that ain't a bad cause to fight for when your trying to see something you like/love improved on.

I say as long as folks aren't simply saying, "This SH#T IS CRAP!", and they are truely giving constructive observations and criticisms, live and let live.

I am glad I slowed down and almost hit the brakes on this line but Luke actually turned out pretty well. Like most figs there is a beauty of a sculpt under that horid factory paint.

Jabba (while definitely the star offering) is only one piece of the puzzle... Displaying him with multiple others really make for a tremendous display piece.

Hopefully we'll get something along the lines of another 1/6 environment (Millenium Falcon c_o_c_k_pit or Cantina booth/bar) where these ANH figs can be displayed and also given a chance to shine.

Well, let me rephrase it to more it takes the fun posting about them. I still love collecting them but posting about them here can be a lot less fun (for multiple reasons). I don't mind people that can talk about it for good or bad but sadly in the SW section those folks are few and far between.

Nice pics MicroJow! Looks ok. A little futzing and a repaint and he'll be there.

I'm still increasingly disappointed at SS and this line. The raise in price but not quality is just frustrating. The continued use of the Buck is just inexcusable.

I think theres a lot of people who are critical thinkers and will post an equitable amount of positive and negative reviews.

I usually find that most of the drama begins when someone doesn't like that someone else gave a figure a slightly bad rating. Then the person who gave it a slightly bad rating says they might as well go over the top and call it all out crap since the apologist is calling them out anyway.

I think the outfits have improved since Jedi Luke. Not that they where that bad to start. There continues to be the lack of issues as we move along. Yes, there are blips but less and less for everyone to gripe about. As far as sculpting Trev is great as is Tim Miller but Mat Falls is pretty damn good himself.

I just don't see much improvement in the SW outfits if any. But as you said they weren't that bad to start with. Still, for every Old Ben there is a crappy Leia dress or shoddy Han shirt or Luke tunic. There have been blips steadily through this line. I've seen no sign of that decreasing over the course of time.

Tim Miller rocks but Mat has never really impressed me with his portrait work.

I'm curious as to what the definition of an apologist is and when the supposed lack of critical thinking stops?
