I should have my Small Studios repainted Luke pretty soon and will post pics. I can't wait to see what kind of magic Josh does to him. After receiving my repainted Palpy (which is amazingly realistic) I just had to send him my ANH gang to be redone.

I'm pretty amazed that only one person has posted pics of ANH Luke repainted

Just got mine, few thoughts.....

I don't see the price increase AT ALL! That said i like him.

WTF'S:
The fingernails (i mean WTF)

Cons:
Tunic ( not that bad i can live with it)
Hair is a tad dark
Buck

Pros:
Nice HS
Nice paint (if a little heavy)
Accessories are cool.
7.5/10

Overall i like him the HS and paint save him. It's a tad disappointing though after seeing the proto. SS definitely lied when they said "they spared no expense" with this Luke.

But like i said overall this is a good incarnation of EP4 Luke and it looks good on the shelf and that's what matters in the end.

I'd really like to try "futzing" up my 12 inch figures after seeing how well you have made them look!
Can anyone post or link me to a tutorial on how to do the water treatment? do you get the clothes full wet or just damp?
I'm new to the "futz"!

Wet it set it forget it.

Soak em and futz em they way you like and let it dry.

Well, I got my Luke from Dark Shadow today. I am quite frankly shocked that the paint made it past quality control. The lighting in the picture below wasn't the greatest, but it pretty much looked just like it appears -- green hair, bloodshot eyes and all. I decided to just do a quick repaint of the hair and eyes. I'm sure we'll see MUCH better jobs from some of our resident masters before too long, but at least I can stand to look at the figure now. I tried a new (for me) technique on the eyes, and I'm not sure if I like it or not.

Got my Luke from alterego today and I'm thrilled with it. I believe I like it even more than ROTJ Luke. Tunic is much better than I was expecting, as is the likeness. Weak right knee joint is my only problem with it.
