That's pretty insane for a quickie!

I was all fgeeked out to join the ANH Luke club today, but my order got mixed up and I got a Cleaner Kit Pred:monkey2. Now I have to wait a little longer.

This might just be my second Sideshow 1/6 figure. I'm holding out hope that they find some extra stock to put on their website that will be gift card eligible. I have an extra $50 gift card from SDCC.

I'd love to see your repaints of them too Adam (Cocoboloboy)! I did a slight repaint of my Han's hair and eyebrows and like it much better now. I hope to repaint my Luke's hair and eyes soon. Let's see yours when they're done. Thanks! :D

He's sitting partially done next to three other repaints I'm doing for people. :monkey2 With the holiday weekend coming up I hope to get a lot of painting done which includes my Luke.

Got mine today (thanks Krayt Dragon!). Heres my quick review:
Positives
-GREAT sculpt!!!! Trevor Grove captures the determination and hope this character represents. I believe Trevor grove should just be in charge of all Star Wars characters from now on. It's obvious he is a talent that understands and cares for the subjects he works on.
-The outfit is surprisingly well done. I haven't even water treated him yet and I'm happy with how everything lays. The shirt is much better in person than photos.
-The amount of accessories is very nice.

What would a Star Wars review be without negatives:
-The body seemed loose out of the box. More so than any figure I've received from Sideshow. It does hold the positions well but legs and arms seem to just be a little loose.
-I've never had problems with accessories breaking before but the lightsaber blade came off while i was putting it in his hand. I'm not careless with my stuff but it snapped off by barely touching it. Not a big problem as superglue works wonders. Also, I was putting binoculars on his belt and the part that would connect them to belt came off the binoculars. Again, an easy fix but kind of one of those "WTF moments" as I've never had this happen with my Sideshow figures before.
-What's up with the stands now? The black part that connects to the stand itself doesn't hold as tight as they once did. This happened first with my ANH Han Solo and continues with this.

Overall, LOVE the sculpt, the paint works for me as I enjoy the hero "accepting his destiny" look that the paint gives it. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this (again thanks Krayt Dragon!) as the quality of the construction of the accessories and the buck seem to be going down and the prices going up.
I would say this is my favorite Luke so far as it just captures the "iconic fairytale" look I associate with the first film.
8.5 out of 10

Yeah i don't really see the price increase in this figure at all either. I like the fig but just don't see the rise in price justified. (seeing how they "spared no expense" with this luke) I have also noticed the stand on my other ANH luke is loose as hell as well don't know whats up with that.

Seems like the figures are going downhill a bit while prices are going up.(i like jedi luke the best with this 2nd followed by bespin)

I hope the buck is no longer used for these. After now getting a few Hot Toys figures, the buck just feels cheap. I realize HT are more expensive, but i would feel comfortable paying $50 to $55 for figures on the buck, not the $70 these went up to. Bring on the Prometheus! Then I'll fell better paying the $$$ these are going for.

I will not support the Buck Anymore. I will not by ANY figures they use it for. It's a POS body end of story. After you pose some Medicom And HT figures and then touch a buck it just feels like ^^^^.

They need to get the PRO out there NOW! And i hope other freaks let SS know that they will not buy anymore figures that are on that POS body regardless of character choice. (too many freaks just buy anyway)

Do we have confirmation on which future releases will still use the buck? The only figures I have on preorder right now are:
-Obi-wan in Clone armor
-Stormtroopers
-Vader
Passed on Ki-Adi and Rebel Trooper.

I bought the Luke ANH body from Toy Anxiety and I agree. It's looser than Paris Hilton.
