I agree with both. If they do fine with me. Jesus, IN MY OPINION, they're a company looking to STAY in business and I for one want them too.

IN MY OPINION, If you want to buy them buck up the money. If not then don't. IN MY OPINION, why is it such a travesty when collectibles companies raise prices, but not so much when items we ACTUALLY need go up every day yet we don't *****. I understand venting makes you feel better but that's all its good for IN MY OPINION. They will know when they've hit the top end when things really slow down , but that's JUST MY OPINION.

Just trying to clarify things.

Once again, as I try to intone in every message I post, I am expressing my opinions. Could I have ended the sentence with "is not justified IN OUR OPINIONS"? Sure, but I would think that was a given on a forum. Sorry for thinking people could infer here.

So, I try to argue a point with you, using mild sarcasm and, IN MY OPINION, a witty Fight Club reference. You curse me out and call me a name. But, in YOUR OPINION, I am the bad one. Either I hit too close to home, or you need to cut back on the stress sir, IN MY OPINION, it might help. You want to ignore me, more power to ya. A person with a valid point debates. Other's take their ball and run home. But don't try to blame me ... IN MY OPINION, it's wrong.

IN MY OPINION, it seems your steadfast attacks on any Sideshow related complaints along with your own statements that could, IN MY OPINION be constrained as assertions of fact in their favor, angers far more people than my occasional rants.

In fact, IN MY OPINION, you took the humor as a personal offense. While it's only MY OPINION, I was trying to be playful, whereas you were trying to be hurtful ... but what do I know, it's .... well, you know :monkey3

Awesome post!

It is scary. I've been budgeting out my life to make some changes, and I thought I was pulling in a decent yearly salary but in the current economy, if I make some changes without getting a new, higher paying job, I will hardly have enough cash for food. It's insane how hard to get by in the modern economy it is for a single person.

All fun and complaining aside, I agree with this too. I make a decent salary as a teacher and can afford video games, toys, etc ... as a single male. I couldn't imagine raising a family in this economy. Not to get political, but whoever wins the coming election needs to fix this, or Americas reign at the top of the human food chain is going to come to a end sooner rather than later ... Rome is burning , dear politicians and leaders. Are you going to do something, or just fiddle away.

Right which I again ask why do we get so worked up over toys?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't really get worked up over any of this stuff personally. Sure, I can vent and let off some frustrations here and on other boards... but that is the sole reason why these sites exist: to discuss toys, collectibles, and the hobby.

When I close the laptop (heck, when I simply click on to another non-collectibles site) I can honestly say that this stuff doesn't affect me or have much of an impact in my life.

That said, this is the "Sideshow Freaks Message Board" and some of us are taken aback by the $69.99 price on ANH Luke and this is the perfect place to share and discuss those thoughts.

Sadly, I actually base my family plans on economic status. When I have a child, or children, I want them to have a good life, not just eek by, so if the only way I can do that is to have one child, so be it.

I apologize if it seems I am picking on Josh. That's really not my intent (well, other than the OPINION thing). But, at what point did complaining become a bad thing. Our country was founded on everyone having an opinion, even the dissenters. Why is it that people have no problem with someone vehemently supporting them, but those who disagree are getting "worked up." I am sitting here corresponding on a forum because I like debate and discourse. I voice my opinion, true sarcastically sometimes, but it's all meant to foster conversation ant thought. I am not "worked up". After I log off in a few minutes, the only time I will even think of this is when I e-mail the Godfather to ask him what his pre-order price will be on Luke. This country was built on sharing our problems and concerns ... hell, the Declaration of Independence is one huge rant against England. I realize that the discussions here are no where near the importance of that document ... unless your name is Benjamin Franklin Gates ... 'cause there are clues everywhere :lol But, it's the same basic concept. We as a people like to discuss things, and well, to put it bluntly - argue. That's what forums were invented for IMO. So, why get so upset when the other electronic signature on the page disagrees with you?

i have a good paying job and don't mind the increase or the economy, as long as i'm not one of the 4-5% of unemployed people and SS stays below HT and Medicom :monkey3

Because Im a Star Wars fan and the world should revolve around me? :lol :monkey3 Nah I dunno why we get worked up, we just do. We just need some cool down times and things are back to normal.

I don't think he cares one way or another. You should never use the Lord's name in Vain.

Blasphemy! Like Iron Maiden says "Your soul's gonna burn in a lake of fire.":rock2

What's up with calling someone a ******? Your mother should slap those lips off your face. That's very disrespectful and I don't care to read that in the SideShow forums.

It's easiest to vent on an anonymous forum, you don't have to risk consequences of it. If you took out your frustrations on the causes of your frustration like co-workers and such, you might find yourself in a pickle :lol

Um ... technically, he used the Lord's son's name in vain. Poor guy has had to live over 2000 years in his dad's shadow ... even after accepting that crucification dealie to save our souls. So, give the man his due. But, yeah, I doubt he cares much either ... :monkey3

Ohh, my bad DM. Forgive me, I got worked up with someone's loose tongue and poor manners.

Actually, this board isn't so anonymous for me. I've gotten some flack for stuff I've posted on here a few times already. :lol

Well, I'm sure most members have friends on here that keep them in check from time to time haha, but percentage wise, I'm sure there's still far more people that are just screen names and words to people.

Regardless, I think with any product you buy, you have to just accept and expect price changes and just assess things in the moment. Granted all money was different, but back in the day you could see a movie for like $1, good luck paying under $10 for a ticket today, but that's why I'm picky about such things, it is what it is and it's either worth it to you or not.

Josh. I am so sorry that I wronged you. I only lash out because I feel inadequate within your personal field of confidence. Your opinions, your wit, it's all so blinding to someone as lowly as myself. One day, I will realize the error of my ways, move out of my parent's basement, and strive to live my life according to my new personal philosophy - WWTJD. Thank you for showing me that my opinions only matter as much as others think. It was a lesson I needed to learn and I will grow to appreciate it and understand it's wisdom some day. Keep up the good work, sir.

Sorry to go off topic, I was just curious if he was actually ignoring me ... :naughty

... Why in god's name not? If he exists, (he doesn't!) and is omnipotent, and controls every single minute particle of matter in an inconcievably complex and infinitly vast Universe, then a) I am obviously pre-ordained to take the lord's name in vain every once in a while, so, christ, it's his fault, not mine, and b) Sideshow had no choice but to raise the price of figures in the Star Wars line. Out of our hands. No choice.

Don't seem to be pre-ordained to buy this figure at that price, though.... Steller job though it appears to be!

Oh, oh philosophy ... me first. What if HE chose not to micromanage your life? What if HE was bored with controlling your life ... The Sims is fun, but you get bored after a while. So, much like in the Simpsons Video game, he created a virtual environment where you were free to do whatever you want. However, unlike in a video game, you have to live with those consequences. Sure, He knew you were going to take his name in vain. However, he gave you the ability to choose not to, so why shouldn't you get sent to the corner ... more, more ... I crave philosophy.
