I'm not so sure on this one now... I want to see some in-hand... In my hand.. i might send him back, i hope that like han, he looks better in person.

I think he will look fine. The clothing will need weathering and I will repaint it myself... But it looks like he will be fine even without all that, just a decent futz. We will see soon... :D

In my opinion yes.

Firstly, no one should commenting on the hair color as if it was a flop in production because it's just like the proto. No need to like it, but it can't be regarded as a QC flop.

As for the overall quality of late. ANH Han has demonstrated a finer quality to SSC's clothing that from pics, I see carrying over to Luke as well, and the Hobbits also showed better tailoring, linings on jackets, clean edges, no fraying threads. Han and Luke also demonstrate a pattern towards replicating or bettering the prototype paint, a longtime chief complaint of folks.

To me, Sideshow is stepping up their game. Maybe it's not at the point folks think it should be at, but I think it is further along than it was 6 months ago.

Proto on the left.

The proto tunic was leaps and bounds better. It was more like cotton (like the one in the film) and wrinkled realistically. The fabric they used in production is Hasbro quality. Just look at the hi-res pic. :monkey1

And the hair was too dark in the proto, yes... but apparently got even DARKER.

Sorry, but this is NOT on par with ANH Ben.

i think it look goods. i under stand peoples concerns. But we all know even though you create and design a proto type figure and then decide to mass produce it. getting a ware house o r whatever to do what you want is hard. maybe it was to much money to get the fabric to make the shirt he is wearing or a lack of communication. then again it could be sideshow messing with us and when we get it. it looks exactly like the proto.but i am happy

I'm happy with it. To me, the only difference in the tunic cloth is that the Production looks pristine and all, where the other is wrinkly and used looking, which I'm sure can easily be remedied.

No way to sugarcoat it: The hair and the quality of the tunic are a major disappointment.

Major Disappointment:confused: :rotfl

Other than the color change of the tunic, which I don't see as that big a deal, I see only improvement.

The change in color is the only thing I see as any kind of a big deal as well. The fabric looks to be pretty good 2 me.

Hasbro quality? WTHeck are ya smoking Carl. :rotfl Please pass it to the rest of us. I'm looking at the same high res pics as you and the only issue I see is the color.

Yup, just take it off and beat it up a little. Not a big deal.
