IJ is exactly right. Anyone defending the ^^^^ about the tunic not being inferior is ^^^^ing kidding themselves.

Wow, you can actually see the weave in the new tunic. That SUCKS. Luckily my exclusive waitlist just got activated so I can cover it with the poncho :banghead:banghead:banghead

Is that green ^^^^ in his hair as well? Medi jedi luke had that 4 years ago whats up with that? I hope it's the lighting.

Frankly, it looks fine to me. :huh

Comparing something to the prototype won't get you anything but disappointment. All you can do is look at the production and in-hand pics and make a call from there, because you can't buy the prototype.

Let's not do the Chicken Little thing again so soon after ANH Han, because that one turned out fine.

Thats your opinion no offense. I was looking forward to that one and still won't buy it. (but thats my call gonna get the medi) I agree it(han) does look better than the first shots we got of it. And this one looks decent to me from these shots so in hand i expect this to look even better.

Only thing i see wrong is too dark hair and bad tunic. But i think i can live with that. (cause the paint looks good)

I'm not pulling a "chicken little" and I'm hardly ready to toss the entire product in the dump. Like Krayt said, it's the hair color (which was bad on the proto anyway) and the different material on the tunic that some of us are disappointed and upset about, not the whole figure itself.

But that tunic on the production piece is just ass-tastic to me, particularly when compared to the prototype of the same product. Sorry.

No offense taken. The first statement (regarding Luke) was opinion the second one (regarding Han) was, I thought, the general consensus around here.

Back to Luke: Well, lighting is everything and we all know how Sideshow does taking pictures of their stuff. It's better than the average joe with a auto-camera taking a picture with flash, but it can still misrepresent the true colors.

Nothing beats the human eye.

I wasn't trying to call you out. My apologies if it seemed that way. :peace

You can definitely see a difference, the question is: does that make it a deal-breaker? The answer from me is no and from what you said, you feel the same way.

At this point, I do. And no worries. :duff

If i remember correctly , increasing the price for a best product . Now i ask :
The product , is better ? :confused::confused:
for the last time. say it with me now. SS doesnt raise its prices for better quality. they raise them in order to cover the rising costs of everything going into the figure. the cost of groceries keeps going up but are they better quality? no. if anything they are worse.:lol

Aren't the pics of the product on the box always the prototype??

I mean "in" not "on". Sorry.

I'm not. I'm just very disappointed, because I was hoping for something much closer to the proto (like most of the recent SSC figures). See, you're the one getting ugly about it. :nono

I'm not getting ugly. Just calling it like I see it.

Tunic fabric is a bummer. Looks like a cheap to me.

Sideshow just needs to make prototypes from materials they will be able to have access to for production product.

Does the Prometheus have a short body? If not then all future Lukes might still be on the Buck.

I would hope it's either modifiable or there will be size variants at some point. One of the Buck's only strong attributes is the height and size range, makes SSC figures standout for having height and size ranges.
