i think it's the costume. imo, anime character costumes are an acquired taste. they can be somewhat "unconventional".

so this is one of those costumes that i just don't fancy. i like the face sculpt though. petra does look quite pretty.

It happened guys. Thanks to the help of a friend I was able to get my hands on my grail Shunya Yamashi.ta piece, the Mirei-san Figure. Better yet, the one I got was never opened and still sealed in the box, which is pretty rare for a collectible that's been out for a few years now in my opinion. After so many times wishing I had this figure, I finally do and it's a great feeling. Here's a decent size batch of pics to take a look at and sorry for the glare, the sunlight was being a pain.

She's gorgeous. I can see why she's hard to get. I can remember when she was first released. First Yamash.ta art I ever saw and I was blown away, but I couldn't figure out how an office girl would fit into my collection. I'm starting to see that that isn't so important. Wish I had picked her up. Congratulations.

And the ponytail is hottest.

Yeah she is pretty hard to find now, about the only place you can is Ebay, which is where mine came from. If it wasn't for my friend helping me out, I wouldn't have it since I don't want to use Ebay myself. So I'm really grateful that I was able to get this one.

Also I know a couple of you guys asked for a group shot of my Yamashi.ta figures, so I'll try to get one of all the ladies posted here in the next couple days.

I just don't want to deal with it cause I'm afraid of having a bad transaction and I don't care for Paypal either. I honestly wouldn't be using it too much anyway and for the special item here and there like this one, I have my friend who's willing to help me out. So it works out in the end.

yeah i know what u mean. ebay can be a little risky sometimes in terms of transactions. i've been fortunate so far, had good international sellers who honoured the deal thoroughly--- delivered the items as described, speedily, and in good condition.

but most of the time i prefer dealing with my usual retailers, cos i know i won't have a problem with the item. and even if i do, it's much easier to get replacements/refunds. besides, i've always preferred a physical, bricks & mortar store as compared to shopping online...

and looks like u've amassed quite a collection there.

i like the way u've lined them up. looks like a ms. shunya yamashi-ta beauty pageant there. heh heh.

so which one's your favourite out of the whole lot? top 3 at least...

Well my absolute favorite is definitely my Mirei-san figure. After that it gets harder to choose. I guess if I had to choose a top 3, number 2 would probably be my Canal figure and number 3 would be my Shouko-san figure.

So have I made you want to pick up any more ShunYama figures?

well i think i did mention sometime ago that i've always had my eye out for the karin statue. it's not "official" but that's the version i prefer instead of the bust.

and your latest mirei-san figure looks too tempting. unfortunately i seriously CANNOT afford any more stuff right now. i'm in the midst of hunting down some 1:1 indiana jones prop replicas, so my budget's already maxed out

maybe when my wallet recovers...

Check out www.imageshack.us or www.tinypic.com and choose resolution of 800x600 there before uploading the photos. Or use Photobucket or Webshots if you want to make an album.

May I just remind everyone that as nice as some of these are, a couple are a little too exposed for the Forum.
If you decide to post a statue that is a mostly nekkid lady then please censor out any girlie parts that may be showing.
