Caught it this weekend, so I read back through this thread to see what people thought. Surprised at the friends-bashing, I thought they were the best thing in the film. Rudd was great, but he did basically play the same character he always does. Really enjoyed it overall.

Stoll was easily the worst thing in the film. His motivations are clear, but
it never becomes clear why he's nuts. Sometimes it seems to indicate (in some of Pym's lines) that he was always a bit off, and the fact that his mentor kept this big secret from him drove him mad. But then there's ONE throwaway line from Hope that says the Pym particles drove him crazy. Which is it? I get that there's something about exposure to the particles that you can't do it forever - Pym made that clear - but there's no indication it would drive you mad, or else Pym would be in a straight jacket, and he'd NEVER agree to Hope taking on Wasp at the end. And if Cross has been exposed to particles so much just in his experiments, wouldn't Hope be messed up too? It seemed like she was by his side as he worked on them 24/7. I assume there was some editing here that made it unclear.

I'm surprised no one else here thought it was hilarious when Pena started humming "It's a Small World After All." I realize it was just another Disney insert, but heck, it was funny!

Muahaha

They played way too safe with the micro world, there were so many more obstacles they could've added.

What drain doesn't have a gunk of hair and muck, he should've got caught in one while someone was pouring drano. :lol

If they don't have a sequence of Hawkeye shooting him on an arrow tip it will be a big fail. :lol

If I were directing I would have had him fall down a woman's blouse when he goes down in that party room through the vent.

Saw this last night. Absolutely loved it.

Not the best Marvel movie ever, but pretty darn good. Paul Rudd and his cast made that movie. I'm really excited to see Paul Rudd again.

Read that Giant Man will be in the AMII.

I haven't seen this yet. :(

I just got back and thought it was pretty good!

I steered clear of this thread, 100 YouTube clips and all other spoilers so I can say it's not the best of the MCU line up, but it fits and was cool in my book. I'm not sure what the general consensus is though. Now I can scroll back and see what the word is here. Oh boy :lol

Wow, I went back about 60 pages and I'm surprised to see this got so much praise. IDK why but I thought it would've got bashed a bit more, and instead people are putting this over Guardians and even Winter Soldier!!

I can't really agree with that but it was a solid movie and a fitting installment in the universe. Maybe I'm not giving the credit it deserves and maybe I'll recognize more on the second watch, but I don't think it has nearly the same charm and impact as Guardians. I know I'm in the vast minority, but I really enjoyed AoU (despite it's many flaws), so I can't place this above that either. I took to the character but the delivery wasn't powerful enough to win your heart like many of the other MCU flicks. Pym & Hope won me over more than Lang did, but maybe a lot will change on round 2.

I do agree with what most say about the comedy. I felt it was pretty flat half of the time and Lang's boys are meh. Someone else put it really well by saying it wasn't that they were unlikable, they were just unfunny. Luis had his moments and I did like both of his narrations.

Didn't really like Yellowjacket at all. One of the best designs and one of the worst villains IMO.

Going in completely spoiler free there were a lot of nice surprises though. Really looking forward to how some of this develops! :yess:

My girl said that she heard on Howard Stern there was only 1 after credits scene so I missed the last one!! :gah:. Loved the first one though

I think this is the closest review to how I feel.

I'm still trying to decide which had the worst humor, this, GOTG or AOU. :lol

I'm just a sucker for Fantastic Voyage so I can forgive the eye rolling humor in this and sit back and enjoy the action, charm, Douglas, Lilly, Rudd and the MCU connections.

Day 1 purchase on bluray. (The only MCU movie that I didn't buy day 1 was IM3, took a year for me to finally accept that I need to own them all :lol).

I'm a junkie, Disney is my dealer, Marvel is the needle and MCU is the drug. :lol

That and coffee. :lol

I'll tell you, reading all those funny Marvel books as a kid and wanting too see them come to life for many decades sure buys alot of forgiveness.

You would think that I would be less forgiving when they mess it up, but I'm not. I'm just happy and thrilled to see them.

I just don't feel that there is one BAD MCU movie.

You know, BAD as in PT BAD. (not even TIH, IM2/3, Thor 2).
