Any hope of Sideshow picking up the 1:6 Underworld license?

They could even reuse the Anna Valerious sculpt, and just create a new outfit.

The William werewolf in it is AWESOME, and is very similar to the K9 Corps Grayslash figure...

Beckinsale has said she wasn't happy with the 1st movies incarnations of her and was happy that there was no toy license for this film.

I wouldn't think it'd be too late...after all, they did Planet of the Apes figures 30 some years after the movies were released.

And I recall Beckensale liking th eSideshow Anna Valerious.

The Underworld smaller figures were just awful though.. I agree with her there!

I know that Beckinsale made some comments about not wanting action figures made. That would be a critical statement... if she were the head of merchandising at Sony. However, she is just an actress hired by them to shoot a movie. Unless she has something to that effect in her contract, her desires about action figures wouldn't be enough to keep an entire line from happening.

Sony's expectations for the movie must have been low enough that they didn't want to sink any money into action figures that might not bring back a profit. However, Sideshow seems like the perfect company to do such work, as it caters to the collector. A limited run of Underworld figures from a company like Sideshow would do better than thousands lining the shelves at Target.

Generally, all actors have that in their contract now, particularly when they are the star of a film. It would be unlikely that Kate didn't retain the rights to her character's appearance in the film.

I said this before but I'd kill for a Cool Girl Selene figure from Takara. No offense but when it comes to 1/6 female figures, you have to go with the Cool Girls.

I'd agree with that for comicbook based characters, but Kate is in no way, shape or form built like a CG. SSC's body is far more appropriate for her build.

I have to disagree,she's slender and trim,but not at all skeletal like Sideshow's base female figures.Also,Sideshow's colossal noggins on the female figures are not very flattering to the female form.I would like them to make more female characters,but they really need to improve thier female base first.(looks great on Zira...and would be perfect for Maleva)

I saw it last night,it's okay if you like a ton of action,but I though it could use a little more character development....just didn't care who lived or died.I liked the design and execution of the werewolves much better in the first film,here they look like refugees from a video game prolog.On the plus side it was more ambitous than the first film,and the art direction was probably a little stronger.

I liked the werewolves much better in this one (Especially the special one).

I thought the direction was slower paced then the original, and the only people who really mattered were characters carried over from the original.
