I don't know whether I'm sold on that exclusive accessory.

Are those pics from the blog?? I can't seem to get in to view them

I don't collect the 12" line, but a 1:1 bust of Plo Koon would be awesome. I'd also take a PF.

nevermind, found the other thread and am feeling reall stupid about now.

Still leaning toward just getting the regular on this one. Where is this unique lightsaber design from anyway??

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction (I hate trying to catch up on these long threads)

Not sure that it's any clearer though. I get that apparently this is from the EU, but everyone is referencing a yellow saber. Am I still missing something, because this still appears to be green :monkey3

Im not crazy about the exclusive, but I sure hope they can retain that patina on the mask. That looks pretty dayum slick! Hopefully when it ships, it wont come out looking like an iron mask with bluish paint wash. I really like how they mask has that gun metal color with the blue patina tarnish! FRIGGIN SWEET!

The yellow saber is from a time when Jedi could still have any color blade imaginable (aka before Clones). All figures and games and such had Plo with a yellow lightsaber. Clones came around and put the kaibosh on that.

I think this is a cool exclusive. For me it falls under the "I don't know if I'll display him with it, but I'd much rather have it than not." I won't make the same mistake I did with Mace.

As for the practicality as a weapon, it wouldn't seem all that great. The wrist certainly doesn't have the range of movements your hand does, and what purpose does having two serve.

As for display, I'm thinking it could be pretty awesome to have him wearing that gauntlet and having his saber in the other hand crossing it...

Sorry, I thought you meant the gauntlet by the "unique design." He has a yellow saber in the video game, "Jedi Power Battles".

His blade is blue in AOTC, which is why I'm suprised SS chose the green color for him with the figure. I suppose they did that because of the concept art?

However, his saber handle in AOTC is the same as Mace's in Ep. I, so this is presumably an Ep. II figure. The blade should be blue.

I get that part, but if SS is duplicating a yellow saber then why does it appear to have green blades??

The gauntlet and the yellow saber are two different items. The yellow saber was in all LFL approved merchandise up until Clones. The gauntlet comes from LFL Archive pre-production art work. Yellow saber and gauntlet no no connection. It's just that most of us thought the yellow saber would make a good exclusive and wanted that like Mace's Phantom saber.

I hope SS gives us the double-blade in green like the concept art and the regular AOTC saber in blue when its delivered.

That would be the perfect solution.

Not too concerned about the sabre colour - I want a cathode blade anyway ;-)

I wonder if we get an unlit gauntlet as well as the lit version ?

I'd be interested in picking up a second Plo Kloon and costuming like the concept pic....

Now it's all becoming clearer. Thanks :D

Haven't run across this stuff about Plo Koon in my perusing of the EU, or at least I don't remember it anway:eek:

Well if there ever was an exclusive to skip I guess this would be it. I will get it anyway because I like all my boxes to have the nice golden black Sideshow exclusive sticker on them. It does look cool but I dont think I would ever display him like that. Also what color is that lightsaber green or yellow I cant tell.

Just realised - that dual blade sabers has been seen before ROTS..... The Twi'lek Dark Jedi Boc in Dark Forces used one that could separate into 2...

That would be great. It would make a very nice contrast...of course I could always use Mace's episode I saber so he isn't holding three green blades. Or I could always try being really brave and painting one...anyone here have any ideas on whether that coulf work or would be a completely foolish idea?
