Anyone considered picking up Hot Toys due to Re-releases of previous characters?

I'm considering picking my nose, while picking up the next re-released HTs figure. In fact when I pick up my Avengers Captain America today at the LCS, I may drop a Zombie dump in their toilet as well.

Huh? Why would re releases encourage you to buy more figures? It tends to work the oposite for me, the more re releases, the more i avoid buying.

He means because HT re-releases so many figures, people may have originally missed out or skipped a certain figure might jump in on a line now that they've got a shot at a sold out figure.

If I have the original, I just buy the updated parts that I want. Case in point, Mark 1 and Terminator 2. I didn't see the need for the whole figures, so I just got the the heads. Its like getting a brand new figure for a quarter of the price. Win win for me.

I also picked up the reissue of the Mark 2. Skipped it the first time around and regretted it.

I'd consider picking up remakes of The Comedian and Silk Spectre if it meant the rest of the Watchmen were also made this time around.

Without the DX10, my only option was an aftermarket MMS with a head sculpt I wasn't digging. Without the DX11 and DX12, I wouldn't have a Batman or Joker. Things get revisited because they can be done better and there is more money to be made. Customers tell HT what is in demand by paying aftermarket prices and shelling out for expensive customs. If better figures are made than the ones I have, so be it.

Damn re-issues have sucked me into the IM line alot deeper than I ever wanted to be. Now, I almost feel the compulsion to be a completist with the lineup.

Prolly true. I think the movie was a pretty good adaption, but the licensed stuff from it just rotted on the shelves.

I would love re releases. I got into the Hot Toys game far to late and missed many a great figure. I always had my eye on them but couldn't afford them back then. Which now has me scrambling to get alot of whats out now incase they never make them again.

I considered getting Mark I 2.0 even though I passed on the first one. . .but then I also passed on the second one

I sometimes upgrade my figures with the improved re-releases. I did it with Classic Predator, DX-12, gonna do it with the new Joker, new Endoskeletons probably, etc. Would definitely go after improved Aliens Marines if they happened. So, I wouldn't considering picking up HT figures just because they are re-releases (I own the older ones when I like the characters and the figures are good), but I will buy the re-releases.
