I put an order in. Shipping UPS ground in the US was just $15.![]()
I like Code3's ships - I picked up all the rest, but not this one yet.
Actually, I tried to order it from them direct when it was first announced. It was advertised with a free case, and I went for it. But, my CC company had mistakenly put a lock on my card for what they percieved as a questionable charge during the time the order was set to process.
Code 3 never contacted me to try to resolve the situation. I sent them an email, asking that the order be reinstated, and they never responded. The customer service compared to a company like Sideshow is Night & Day. Oh well, in the end I just end up saving some good money, and their lack of support costs them a direct sale.
Also, it has been ages since Code 3 has announced a new item in the SW vehicles category. I get the feeling they really going down the tubes, which is a shame, as they make a nice product. It can't compare with a MR replica in size or quality, but the prices aren't so outrageous either. Looking at my existing Falcon, the mold is excellent, and I really appreciate the metal construction. The paint application is so generic though. I would love to see a quality custom repaint of that item one day. To be fair, the falcon was one of their first efforts, and paint quality did go up. The Slave 1 is outstanding IMO.
End of mini-rant![]()

Just decided to bite the bullet on the upcoming MR Falcon, but if you notice, alot of available replicas of Han's ship just aren't in the proper dimension with itself. Even modeling companies like MPC and Ertle can't get the front mandibles narrow enough. The Japanese company Finemolds just did an incredible version of the Falcon thats only around $300, the down-side is you have to assemble it yourself from Japanese instructions. As far as the Code 3 X-Wing, this is the best rendition of the Lukes ship yet, even suprerior to the ICONs peice! I couldn't resist Darth Vader's Tie at this price. After SDCC and finally, seeing some choice pieces from MR in way of vehicle replicas and Sideshow potentially offering a potentially endless collection of 12" figures, I've decided that my prior collection will probably become obsolete.
