I'm going to wait until some better pictures show up online, but there seem to be some big differences. Just at a glance, the paint colors used are much duller and appear washed out. The color of his legs seem different. There doesn't appear to be any of the careful shading on his midsection, or his arms. The lateral lines that run across his legs don't seem to have the outline that the prototype has. And finally the face is, obviously, not as well painted.

These are just quick impressions. I look forward to seeing better quality pictures.

You are basing this off washed out pictures. The first pics that went up and the video show it to be fine.

Some of the posters here panic at the slightest whim... you will all die so very young.

"I'm going to wait until some better pictures show up online, but there seem to be some big differences." was my first sentence. Based on the first pictures the differences were extremely obvious. Still waiting on more.

The blue definitely looks dull if compared with Superman on the video.

The blue is a completely different shade, and the bands on his legs are different. They're a single solid, much darker, color, and are missing the outline thin stripes.

The devil's in the details.

You need to get real. The proto is painted up by inhouse professional artists and takes how ever long they need.
Production pieces are painted by Chinese factory workers on a production line with deadlines to meet.

If you don't know by now you never will.
Looks pretty decent for a mass produced product to me.
