GOT IT! 720p! You have to pick 720p in the options on youtube to view it.

Ahhhh thanks! I have to be honest this video is 42 seconds and it took forever and a day to load on youtube. This feature is best for either making home videos or VERY short youtube videos.

C.K. of SampletheWeb contacted Steve Jobs about the annoying iPhone 4 reception issue which has been plaguing most users who got the device at launch. The official response from Apple was:



Gripping any mobile phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.

In an another email which Engadget obtained, Steve Jobs was asked about the same question. Jobs response – “Just avoid holding it in that way”.

It looks like a solution to the problem is buying Apple's bumper...interesting....

Thats funny about the comment about reception. I was like yeah holding every phone will have some effect on reception, unless its one where the antena sticks up above rest of body, but how many phone do that now.

Yeah I've been reading lots on this. The only way I can duplicate it on mine is if I hold the bottom and sides with both hands and cover all the sides. People are just hating on it because it's new. I'm sure if it is a REAL issue my phone will be replaced by Apple so I have no worries. What worries me much more is the glass backing that seems to be breaking rather easily. So as of now I have it in a very ugly black case. LOL!

In order to lose signal on my phone I have to cover the bottom, both sides, and a little of the top. I don't think its a big issue. On a sidenote I tried this with my blackberry for kicks and I don't lose all the bars but it takes 2 to 3 of them away.
