Finally said screw it and did the activation again through the site. It worked! I now have a working Iphone 4. :rock

I finally got my iPhone :clap

Or I should say my wife got it. They called my from the Beverly Center and since she works in Cedars Sinai I asked her to pick it up for me.

This will be the longest hour ever.

Sweet man!!! Congrats! So did she mention if the line was insane out there?

And are you loving it or what?!?! :exactly:

Anyone else have the gmail issue with their phone?

Also, not sure if you guys have used ft and rec'd a call in-between. Seems like a glitch in the software where it tries to place you on hold but practically crashes ft instead.

Looking fwd to that first patch already!

I knew there was something wrong.

Congrats!! :rock

Thanks :duff

Yeah, I don't know what the kid didn't do but he only got one of the three phones right. Just glad this is working.

The screen is amazing! Crystal clear and easy to read. Loads the net way faster than ever. Photos are really clear. Haven't taken video yet. Gonna do my first video review next week when the Mech Test Iron Man shows up.

Thank you. She did mention there was quite a line up there and some of them got upset because she just walked up to the counter and was handed the iPhone :lol

I am loving it. I have been an iPhone user since the original one was released and each new version gets better and better.

So I have a question for all the folks that have the new iPhone. Does anyone notice that one speaker is louder than the other? It seems as though only one of my speakers (the right) is really working and playing sound. Anyone else have this issue? :dunno

Yes, the speaker is definitely louder. As far as only one speaker working, one is a speaker and the other one is the mike.

Ok so this is probably stupid but how do I get ring tones? Can I make them with songs from iTunes?

There are dozens of ways. You can make ringtones off of anything you buy in iTunes via iTunes. If you have a Mac you can use Garageband. If you have a PC, its simple but there are steps. You select the song and then go to options within "Get Info". Then you select using the time marker how you want as a Ringtone, anything longer than 30 seconds won't show. After that create an AAC Version. Delete the AAC version but keep the file (this is important or your ringtone won't show), go into your iTunes library folder (iTunes Media, then Music) and find the song, the folder will match the info presented in Get Info. Rename the extension to .m4r which is the ringtone extension. Double click it and it'll appear in your iTunes library under ringtones.

Do you use OS X or Windows? Like The Mike said, you could use Garage Band if you use Apple. I can send you a step by step tutorial or you could search in Apple's support page. I don't know about Windows but I am sure you could do it as well with another program as there is no Windows version of Garage Band.

It easier to do it in the steps I listed above then to download a program trust me if you're on Windows...

I've only done it a couple times, but it works and should still work for the latest version if iTunes.
