The Gandalf in the background looks nice as well. But I don't need another Aragorn or another Gandalf. That being said, I'm still going to order just in case I change my mind but I'll most likely be passing on both when it comes time to pay.

This looks fantastic. SS could do themselves a favour and post better preview pictures. They would save themselves a week of bashing.

It would be pointless, unless as suspected, the hoodless version is an excl. We'll find out on Tues.

But the only way to have a hoodless version, would be to have a completely extra statue. Either the hood is sitting on his back or on his head, you can't have an add on head with a hood that removes it from the back or a head that has the hood sit down over the back and expect it to look anything other then crap.

So if it is two statues, which do you get, who's to say which one is the exclusive and what edition size do you set.

At this stage, I expect just a single statue, with hood on and either some silly exclusive, like a hand or none at all.

As for the line in general and LOTR in total, I hate to say I told you all so, but I pretty much did. There was just so many ways this could have all gone wrong and so far, it seems to have gone wrong every way.,

But if your going to make another Aragorn, it better be perfect, otherwise, who's going to buy it?

I guess that was a bad day for you as far as making predictions is concerned Anthony!

Well, something tells me SS won't have any trouble selling this one, it looks stunning!!

Damn I love it! Beautiful sculpt nailed big time as I knew it would be. Folks just gotta have faith. Some of you need to calm down a bit before going all chicken little. Seriously, a deep breath wouldn't hurt some of you.

I am sorry but I still don't think the hooded sculpt looks good at all. The hood-less sculpt I 100% looks great but the hooded one...not so much.

I like what I see in Gandalf now. Much better than before I think and I will be ordering that one as well.

Gotta disagree man. Both kick ass. Gonna go with the hoodless sculpt myself though.

I was thinking the same thing, while the hooded version is certainly good, the unhooded version is outstanding.

Hoodless is much better (to me) as you can appreciate the amazing headsculpt.

The exclusive version will be a must-have to collectors.

I love this because not only is this Aragorn from the movie, this is almost exactly the same Aragorn as I pictured when I first read the books. Just amazing.

I have to agree. It's high and regardless of the piece, it's definitely going to hurt sales. An extremely low ES would justify the price.

Not quite. While I'm not a fan of the preview pic. and I don't think SS did themselves any favours posting it, I believe I was one of the guy's reserving judgement until SS posted all their prod. pic's

I'd be lying if I thought the likeness screamed Viggo or that it lived up to the potential of the unpainted sculpt, but I don't think it's bad at all. It certainly doesn't look to be on par [likeness-wise] with the PF, but I still think it looks better than any other version of Viggo we have...though I'm reserving final judgement on that until Tues. when we see all the prod. pic's.
Throwing a statue under the bus based on one preview pic. is pointless as far as I'm concerned. If I, not to mention most seasoned collectors around here, had a dollar for every statue we own that looks superior to SS's prod. pic's....we'd all be filthy rich.

I believe the primary context of my post was that I'm not going to trash the likeness at least until I get to see more than one of SS's traditionally bad preview photo's. And while I did say I prefer this Viggo likeness to any other Aragorn statue to date [with the exception of the PF], that is hardly a ringing endorsement of the likeness. I also specifically stated that opinion may change once we actually get to see this statue from more than one angle.

Are these 1/6 or 1/4? You guys are complaining about the price of this? You obviously didnt see the price on the Spidey Comi . This piece looks bad ass though, but if its not 1/4, I have no interest.
