YA but we are all a little crazy. I'm sure that people think we are crazy for spending $300 on a statue. My friends think it is outrageous but I love it and as long as I enjoy it I will keep forking out the green stuff.

My sister says the same stuff "OMG you paid 300 bucks for THAT?!" and then she goes out and drops 500 or more on Swarovski Crystal figures

Sheesh.....

Back to the PF discussion..... BOOOM! ordered, will look good beside Lurtz

that's why i never tell anyone what i pay for this stuff. in fact i think it is so rude when i invite people over and all they do is say "how much did you pay for that?" whether its collectibles or electronics. i always say the same thing: "i dont remember, $30 i think." id only tell a fellow collector the truth.

The best headless stat that has been done is the Ugluk stat by SS/W. AND it's not even an exclusive!

My thoughts exactly. My sister makes fun of me that I still am buying and playing with collectibles(she calls them toys) and says I waste my money but when she goes out and buys some goofy ass $300 purse.

Same here...because you always know the response.."Man, you paid THAT much??". They just don't understand..the same way we don't understand why a woman buys a $500 handbag..

that's why i wish more of my friends were collectors so we can actually talk about the collectible itself and not the price tag which seems to be the only thing non collectors care about.

I thinks its a perfect representation of Amon Hen Strider, but I think there's one flaw... his legs are a tad too short (in comaprison to his face and torso).

I'd buy it if I was into PF's but I'm not... plus have aragorn represented twice already in my collection (AatBG and Elessar).

Ditto to that ... thats the reason why SSW pieces are so dear to me, as with many collectors here.. I don't believe SS will EVER EVER made a Denethor statue... not even a 12".. but SSW has produced Grima statue... for the pure love of art.

I believe the main characters will be repeatedly produced as long as SS holds the license, like how star wars did. It will be so sick...

But from the business point of view, I can understand they have to do that to get new collectors... Just imagined producing a "Rossie Cotton in Wedding Dress Premium Format - Sideshow Exclusive" Edition Size: 50. , maybe Wetanut will get that, won't you?

Perhaps not, but at least there's a chance, which is more than you can say about getting one from Weta...not to mention an Eomer and Faramir statue. Maybe if Weta hadn't spent so much time and energy producing multiple Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli statues we could have gotten some of these
