If Sideshow offered a partial refund, I think I'd break mine that came in one piece. I'm surprised it made it from California to Georgia on UPS and arrived together.

Yeah, especially in this case, it sounds like it's actually a pretty easy fix, so an unprincipled person might very well break it on purpose to get a discount. I also wonder if it might not be cheaper for Sideshow to ship out one or two replacements than to give people a relatively large discount like that. I assume Sideshow has a fairly good deal with UPS.

I think this piece did one wild twist from proto-type to pre-production to production, and ended up looking very nice in the end.

Thanks for the pics, Doily Man! And your pics showed me something interesting. It looks like the infamous strand of hair on yours lays nearly flat against his forehead. On mine, when I attach it by hand, it sticks out quite a bit. Maybe that explains why some are intact, while others are damaged.

So let me ask a question to those with intact pieces. How far does that strand stick out from Aragorn's forehead?

This statue's face doesn't photograph up close very well. It makes it look like he's got heavy eyeliner under his eyes, which just isn't the case in person.

No problem Always glad to share. I'm happy with the pics for once on a LOTR item. I seem to have issues taking shots of them. Mine does lay very flat against his head which makes me think some are just sticking out a bit and getting messed up in shipping.
