They are. They said that they are working on Vader and other armored characters. It's just going to be a while until they make a god solution to the figures because they are different than the figures we've been getting so far.

I'm sure SST will eventually release a Vader from the OT, hopefully they'll have a new, better body by then.
Unless it's completely off (which I doubt it will be), I'm sure I will get one.

Freddie if you want the ultimate 1/6 Vader and don't mind paying out a bit I'd suggest contacting fellow board member Hurricane about one of his customs as they are by far the best 1/6 Vader figures available and no SSC Vader (assuming they even bother) is likely to be anywhere close to the same quality.

They will, the question is just when and when they do they won't say anything about it, it'll all of a sudden be eluded to in a newsletter and then previewed on a Thursday, go inclusive on that same night until the next Monday and suddenly these boards will have 97 Vader threads.

OK--- Yes for a SS Vader... announced by the end of summer. He'll be the first "armoured" SW fig to coincide with their release of ANH Obi-Wan.

I think they will & it will be this year - they have been secretly working away to get it designed and manufactured for a mid year delivery and will have a short rol out period from the time we order it - all because they know it will sell - I'm banking on the Sith version (because this will be the hardest to off load once other Vaders are released) the Sideshow exclusive will be the busted wrist binders from the operating table.

Just curious. I'm pretty new to the Sideshow Star Wars line. I used to collect the Hasabro Star Wars figures and when I got into Sideshow it was for the horror figures. So I was wondering if they were going to make the 1/6th Vader. I know they have the PF but I'd sure love a 1/6th to go with my Luke and hopefully one day Sir Alec Guiness' Ben Kenobi.

No. They will make everyone from all 6 films but leave out the most important and iconic character.
