Goddamnit why can't normal members give rep? Ryan you deserve a cookie at least.

But how do we know it falls under demo territory when we haven’t played it? If you’re basing this off of everything we heard so far, then I can say most of those people also said the game is worth the price, extremely fun, bigger than they expected, emotional, exciting, and does its job at setting the anticipation for TPP very high.

I guess there isn’t any reason to debate this, you have reasons for your opinion, I have mine. I know we both want this this game to be great. Hopefully March 18th is a happy day for us MGS fans.

Ppl spend $20 on meals that make them fatter and fatter on a daily basis, but all of a sudden a $20 game is the end if the world.

Don't really see what the big deal is.

Because no one in their right mind would pay $20 for 1/4 of a burger and a half full soda? But I think you're on to something there- you're saying I should get a large pizza with everything on it instead of the game? Great idea! So long as there are no pineapples on it. I mean, who eats pizza with pineapples? :dunno

Pineapples on a pizza are an abomination.

I can rep you for that.

Or even better,

Go play it round at a friends house.....

THEN buy pizza. Best of both worlds

If you have been on here for long enough you should know by now some of the folks here want this game to fail, mostly due to lack of respect David Hayter was shown, and some outright hate for the love Kojima gets in the gaming industry.

You can post 20 reviews of this game getting a perfect score on here, but if one review comes up an 8 thats the one they will comment on.

In all seriousness though, whether it's a demo, or a 'prologue' which people are only accepting because it was fed to them as that.

Purely on the basis of it's a 2 hour main plot game with the option of doing the extra and doing harder run throughs to extend your play time, is it really worth it?

When you could get MGS2 tanker chapter as a demo and it cost significantly less.

The dlc version should be no more than a dlc and the physical no more than £25 really.

It's not even half a game so to speak, so I wouldn't want to pay anywhere near to full price. I'm talking strictly what is on the table at base level

Regardless of the gamplay, graphics or any of the new stuff. It is what it is and shouldn't be priced any higher just because they want to package it like a game just because they can't finish the full game for another year

It's not about wanting the game to do bad in the slightest so you obviously don't understand as I already knew you didn't. If this game is superb then I will play it just as much as I played the others. I'm not foxing myself into not liking a series I've liked for 15 years just because I disagree with the game creator and some people I don't know on the internet. You need to grow up man and stop rustling feathers

Keep inhaling your own farts :lol

You could also buy MGS2 for 50 bucks at the time, now games cost 60 bucks. Times change, things get more expensive or less expensive, word of mouth has been great so far, and for as low as 20 bucks I think it’s a steal compared to the other games that have been releasing these past few months. I didn’t buy The Last of Us DLC because I truly felt that was a rip off, and I youtubed the whole thing. Anyone who bought that and enjoyed it, I’m happy for them, you don’t see me in TLOU thread complaining about it.

I specifically said demo. You couldn't buy MGS2 when the demo was released. That's what demos are

I don't care about the gaming industry now, and the prices they were and are, or what another dlc came in at. They may have been more of a rip off or may not, that has no baring on this title

I would like to retaliate with an insult, but then it will just derail this whole thread and you’re going to play victim on how you don’t understand why you always geting into arguments on here.

I was trying to make an example on why the demo was free at the time. Businesses are always looking for new way to make money, every person who has bought DLC last gen got raped with no lube, and pretty much encouraged developers to hold back on putting everything they could in a games so they could make a nice chunk of extra change.

Right and that's bull****

So imagine that games start making you pay for the prologue of the game, than release the full game but hold back bits for dlcs that they then charge you again for

This is not what I want the future to be like

I remember when games were about entertaining people AND making money

It's probably not entirely kojibros fault either, Conami will be in there slobbering over the $$ but he will have gone along with it all the same

Last gen was doing something even worse in my opinion, making people pay for epilogues, this isn’t anything new.

Konami could wait and sell it to us a whole package, but most of us don’t mind paying to get a piece of this earlier. Its smart business.

If the game had cost 60 bucks then that would be horrible, but being given the choice of paying 20-40 bucks is more than reasonable in my eyes. If it isn’t to you then just don’t buy it. I personally don’t this as a bad trend if the monetary options are similar to this.

Hey Frank, I didn't Gran Turismo 5 do that to us?
After you bought the prologue then the game you paid $120 for Gran Turismo 5 not even counting the DLC's

No idea Jason, I stopped playing after 3 :lol

I know what your all saying, but it's still all bull**** and it isn't smart business move, it's people who are real idiots because they allow and invite themselves to be f'd in the a
