I agree Nash. SW is what brought me into this fold to begin with... but since then... I have discovered so much more...

And the enthusiasm overall... is hindered by the negative karma eminating from the SW section. I don't even hit that area anymore... It's just a waste.

But I will hit everywhere else !

I also would like to join the gamers! I can't wait until I get the Xbox360. For now it's just my PS2, Wii, and N64.
I haven't read the Star Wars section in a long time. And I am totally in the boat with Darkknight. Star Wars was what brought me into SS. But I discovered the Lord of the Rings, Buffy, THE DEAD!, Shaun of the Dead, and so much more.

I try but like El said I tend to click view post and see what was said. Though I may start ignoring people despite that.

I think if that is the case for anyone (and I know there have been times where it has been me), you are taking this "hobby" too seriously. That would also apply to those who come in here to do nothing but stir #$&* up and knowingly get to people. Mellow out, life is way too short to get worked up over molded plastic.

Its not that I'm taking the "hobby" too seriously at all. That's just not the case at least 4 me. Its that when I come here I'm wanting to enjoy just relaxing and talking with the board, and a few jerk offs just won't lay off. Makes it kind of difficult to enjoy from my POV.

Understood Josh, and my comments weren't solely directed towards your feelings/situation. There are a handful of members whose sole purpose is to disagree and be a general nusance --- sometimes I hate democracy.

I find myself reading more too but i think it's just because of the time of year, etc. i also visit the "other discussions" thread and "LOTR" and "Movie" threads a lot more than SW's now. although when something SW ships i'm back in the SW thread like white on rice....until the haters/overly a-n-a-l collectors show up.

i was never really especially prolific, but i'd have to agree with the josh -- i rarely post -- the tone has definitely changed, primarily in the sw section -- but, sitting back and watrching is pretty amusing if you can seperate yourself from the proceedings

My posting have gone up quite abit. I used to hang out more in the Statue Forum but after Comic-Con, i'm rarely in there. It's a bit too adult and serious over there. It's more laid back and fun in here with all you freaks I'm all over the place, Star Wars, Marvel, Aliens.... getting a good laugh or some knowledge on figures or other stuff.
