Understood Josh, and my comments weren't solely directed towards your feelings/situation. There are a handful of members whose sole purpose is to disagree and be a general nusance --- sometimes I hate democracy. :angrycanu

I know. I was just using myself as the example in my reply.

you just need a "high" Josh, go to SS's website and order something. :)

I just might. Sounds like a good idea anyways. :rock

You just have to get to a point where you don't care what was said.....works great :D

I'm getting there all the time.

My posting kind of fluctuates and I haven't been posting or reading much lately because not much has been happening. However I do find myself reading less in the Star Wars threads, usually once it gets over a certain post number I don't read it since that usually indicates there's arguing. Plus its just boring to read people nitpicking tiny things that the vast majority of people don't notice. (Many times I can't tell much of a difference when its being pointed out! :lol)

And there are some people on here that I find annoying in regards to some topics and not others. But I don't know of anyone that grates on me so much that I would want to ignore everything they say. Plus I'm too paranoid the people I have on ignore will be talking about me. :lol

I'm at a steady 2-3 post a day....from the beginning....those of you who do more need to get out and smell the fresh air...

School and work have been taking alot of my time so I post less in the morning.

I do read alot at night.....It helps me go to sleep faster.

....unless King Darkness is loged on. That guy can talk about porn all night.

During Spooktacular I really posted the hell of this message board but then afterwards found myself almost deflating and finding the urge to post less. I am posting the majority of them in the "Other Discussion" threads or in the "Marvel" threads but ironically the "Star Wars" threads, the license that brought me to the show, the license that I have the most SSC stuff from is the area of these boards that I avoid. My posting there has become very slim mainly because the threads there turn violent so fast. I'm interested to see what happens when the eventual Indy section opens....

Also I find it ironic that we are all posting about not posting.....:lol

I've been posting less simply due to time constraints-- football season finally over and now opening night just a week away-- but once I can put my director hat next to my coach hat up on the shelf my posts might increase...

But to be honest, I think the negativity that seems to persist whenever something new comes out has kind of taken some of the steam out of my desire to post, and I don't think that's relegated to the SW section. During SPOOKTACULAR we get the awesome announcement for Shaun of the Dead and every time my excitement makes me want to post I have to read through a dozen or more posts of people looking for something to complain about--

I like honest criticism, but seem people want to pick things apart simply to do that--pick. It can be tiresome and quite draining.

I rarely post in Star Wars threads because usually when I see something I want to respond to, there are already like 10 pages of comments after it.

There's a bunch of jackasses here that are making me play XBox 360 games on-line so I don't have much time to post anymore. :monkey5

I go through phases where I'll post a lot or just browse. I'm always interested in checking out the custom threads and art galleries. There are some super talented freaks on this board and I'm always interested to see what they are up to. I love the LOTR threads, they are encouraging and informative. When there is criticism it is always constructive and doesn't become a flame war with other members who may have different opinions. I love reading about new movies coming out that people have seen and of course anything Marvel, Dead or Hellboy related. Overall, I've had a very positive experience on this board and granted I'll throw myself into the fray when **** starts going down (especially against fellow Krusaders and other good freaks) because that's how I am....I don't stand back and watch, I get involved, which sometimes works out sometimes doesn't...but oh well. There are a few people who come on this board to purposely stir **** up and thankfully, most of them end up getting banned. I think the mods do an awesome job of keeping things in line and allowing us the freedom to have fun on this board. That SW section does get out of hand...but thankfully that seems to be the only one and there are so many other sections on this board worth reading.

I just wish there was a Tonner section, so I could really up my post count.

Josh, here is a good example that may help you.
I used to work with this guy Ed who had a saying when the conversation would turn towards the latest boss with big ideas would come around. He would say "I've seen them come and I've seen them go and I'm still here."
The negative posters will eventually lose interest and move on if they get no response to their bait.
Eventually you learn to ignore them because you come to realize its the exact same argument over and over and all it does is go in a circle. In my opinion, the most stressful thing you do (Stressing yourself I mean) is that you defend things personally. I am sure you have some students in your class that just don't pick things up. No matter hos you try, they just don't get it. The kids parents probably don't go over the homework and just expect you to teach and they learn. In their opinion you are a bad teacher because their kid doesn't learn. At the end of the day you know you have done the best you could and some kids will do great, some will do poorly and most will be in the middle.
Its the same way with SSC. They know that no matter how many times someone whines about Pam Voorhees, they did the best they could at the moment and some uber geek saying this is a massive disappointment is really irrelevant.
Whatever you do, don't let someone else spoil your fun.

Not me, im on a roll if i post 3 comment a day.
I do like to read the star wars section but changed the way i view the forum to 40 posts per page from 10 so can can pick out the posts worth reading and find some pictures. It does get tedoius seeing the SSC vz HT vs medicom in every SW thread.

Very good food for thought. That's all true. I've been through several Trolls and they haven't run me off yet, and I can't let them do it now.
