Arghhh, New Hot Toys- Captain Jack sculpt revealed me hearties

My take on this is that Enterbay got the likeness from nose down. Mouth looks spot on.

While Hot Toys' got the likeness nose up. The mouth on HT's looks a bit too small and weird.

Now if devil666 could photoshop and combine both

Obviously more pics of the full figure, accessories, and price will determine the winner here, but so far my vote goes to the Enterbay having a better likeness. The Hot Toys heads just seem slightly off. Maybe it's the paint accentuating that too as I don't think they got the skin tone and mascara right at all.

Enterbay's, while a tad too sinister just judging from the weird angle they chose, is definitely in the lead for me.

I'm just happy to FINALLY have a Jack Sparrow. Been wanting one for a while now. Interested in the full shots to come.

I think the Depp likeness is there, but again, he's got a lot of things on him to become captain Jack. I don't see the CHARACTER of Captain Jack in the sculpts. The smiling one looks like Depp smiling in makeup, not a captain Jack smile. And the other one is too serious. Even when Jack was serious, there was always this slight eyebrow raise.

I think the problem is that HT already did that look in the cannibal head--and the same figure also came with an alternate smirking head. A straight-forward, serious look was a gimme, and expected to be repeated. But instead of doing one of the other, more traditional Sparrow looks that HT already released, it seems they wanted to do something different with the open-mouth laughing look.

I actually appreciate that decision to give folks something new (and, possibly, to help the older figures maintain value), but I agree that a more typical Sparrow-like expression would probably help the likeness here.

I hope they explain on WHY he is dressed like that? Is it to cover up him being a Pirate or what? I dont really like the new outfit either. Id prefer the classic pirate look from the first 3 films.

for reasons yet unknown, Barbossa is a member of the Royal navy in this movie and that's his uniform.
