Arghhh, New Hot Toys- Captain Jack sculpt revealed me hearties

There's really no telling with Hot Toys.
Sometimes they'll release a fig within just a couple of months after they showcase it, then sometimes, they have to tweak a few here and there that it gets released over a year.

Since this is getting nitpicked to death, I would imagine next year cause they may have to add a stubble or two that they might have missed from the comparison pics

Don't think so. Movie is coming out in may and i bet they'll try to release it as close as possible to the movie.

Thats not how they roll we got an Avatar announcment over a year maybe almost two ago. Still haven't seen any official finsihed pics yet.

Sucker Punch was announced well before the movie came out, still nothing.

Iron Man 2 stuff came a few months after the movie.

The heads are hand painted, and they have to finish hand painting 5-10,000 of head a and head b before they get to Jack Sparrow (head c). Plus they have to have all revisions done to the sculpt before that time. They don't rush and they can't.

Its kinda how in every thread where people complain, theres these people who complain about the complaining.

And they think somehow they are helping move things along, instead they are adding a whole nother element of people _____ing about something.

Kinda like how I'm now adding a 3rd position of _____ing about _____ing about _____ing now.

Yea this all worked out and made me look much smarter then those complaining about the figure.

It has nothing to do with looking smarter than someone else. It's the not being able to let someone have their own opinion without someone else trying to tell them their opinion is wrong. Like if they repeat themselves enough that's somehow going to change the other person's mind.

I keep checking this thread in hopes of seeing new pics, instead it's the same people going round and round.

You are kidding right, go back and look at every Hot Toys thread with the date of the official specs being released, and the date with actual in hand pics. In Asia, 5 to 6 months minimum. In North America, 6 to 7 months.

But regarding avatar for example, did they show pics in, let's say, October, of the prototypes? Sucker punch is not that big of a movie, not when compared with pirates.

It usually is a decent wait (approximately 6 months) after specs before the figure is in hand.

I'd wager we'll see the specs and pre-order around the time of the films release. But I would expect him to ship at the earliest sometime in the Fall.

Wait for that and check out the first post's pics, you won't even have to read anyone's opinions.

Or if the threads bother you because you just want to go right to the updates, use facebook instead. As soon as a sculpt is revised it ends up on the HT FB page, thats where people here get the pics, so you can just cut out the middle man.

About 4 til they show up overseas, then 5-6 before they get to the retailers here then they get them shipped out to you.

Jack Jones looks like its a woman, wearing a fu man chu disguise and dressed up like Indy.

Interestingly enough I think thats the most Harrison I've been able to see in that Indiana Sparrow.

True, and you also probably shouldn't be looking at a picture of a sculpt blown up 10x its real size and nit pick every single pore in its face since when its actually in hand you will never notice them. (Not directed specificly at you but to everyone in general who like to do that.)

Not to mention Captain America will be in theaters in a couple of months and we still have yet to see the proto

I think HT made a mistake in announcing so much goodness at once so every one is expecting something to be shown of their favorite property...as you can see, HT really does have a lot on their plate atm.
