Re: Art Books

Hi guys and gals, I just want to ask anybody got an extra copy of the Art of Iron man 2 or if you now a place I can get this?

Thanks,
Richard

I see your in Canada, but the other day I was at boarders books and I they had 2 hardcovers sitting on the shelf and the book from the first movie as well. Maybe you could hit up boarders books online.

Re: Art Books

That's awesome, but I might have to just order the paperback, $80 is a little too steep for a brand new book.

I might change my mind once I see it though, depending on the size and amount of pages.

last one was 28cm x 20cm

and amazon says art of capcom 2 will have 284 pages

i guess they charge that cause sdcc will be the only place to get the hardcover

Re: Art Books

Unfortunately, I don't think Adam has enough Marvel art to fill a book. His career has really been dominated by DC the last decade or so. Maybe one day we can manage a book that will be more of his whole career; Marvel, Dark Horse, Lucasfilm, etc.

That would be aces. :clap

trust me; you were smart to do so. I just talked to DC Comics book division. Cover Run is sold out. So you now have what may someday be a rare, first edition copy! They are going back to press for a second edition, so hopefully it will be in stores soon.

Cool ! :1-1:

Right now we are planning on doing TWO San Diego Comic Con exclusives with the book. Adam and I couldn't pick one idea over the other, so we are going to break our 200 books into 2 exclusives of 100 pieces each. This will also allow for 2 different price points.

One book will have a collectible book plate (of the Ex Libris variety) adhered inside the cover. Like a traditional Ex Libris plate, it will have a place on it for the owner's name. The other exclusive will be a book and print set. I'm not 100% certain on the prices yet, but I should know in the next day or two. Something else to note; the book has gone back to press for a second edition. The books we are doing the exclusives with are all first editions.

Awww... I would have liked the print :(

Just don't think I can afford to even try to buy it again :monkey2

I don't think this was mentioned, but Jim Lee redrew his Icon book cover (it kinda sucks compared to the original imo)

yeah not liking the re-do.

Not really feeling the new cover, I much prefer the old one.

:exactly:

Steep i n my eyes regardless.

Hey man, it looks like a few Borders in my area still have some in stock. If you are interested in me getting one for you, I can contact a store and have them reserve it for me. Let me know via PM.

Re: Art Books

Those Bill Ward and Olivia books look awesome.
Yeah they really are. I just discovered Olivia not too long ago and her style really reminds me of Alberto Vargas but with her own spin. The only thing I'm a little bugged about is Volume 2 of her Art is sold out wherever I looked. So the only chance I have of getting it is used through one of Amazon's sellers probably. Unless they do a reprint. Her Volume 3 book is still available, so I might end up getting that one before Volume 2.

And Bill Ward's work just speaks for itself. :D

I'm so happy with the Art books I've been able to get recently.

Still have to get Cover Run. :(
It's still in stock at Amazon, which surprises me since it's selling out just about everywhere. They must have gotten a pretty decent amount.
