I remember reading messages talking about this problem and I was skeptical. Like most people, I thought it had something to do with the knees. One joint must been bent more than the other, right? I thought it was an easy fix. Well, that was until I received my Walter Skinner. After careful examination, I think it has something to do with how the legs were assembled to the torso. But no matter what experimentation I do, I cannot get the legs to adjust evenly. I am now a believer.

i had the same problem with my Mulder figure and it turned out the leg itself was just twisted around backwards. Try dropping Skinner's drawers and make sure the legs aren't twisted around oddly. Easy fix.

Huh, mine do that too, but I didn't know it was common, I figured I was doing something. SO wait, I'm pay $40-$60 for a lopsided figure? Christ SS get new bodies, I'm tired of having to deal with all of this futzing and customizing. There's a point where I enjoy it, but there's a point where I feel ripped off and am frustrated by the constant work I have to put into these. Their toys, not models. I should only have to do so much!!! Just sell headsculpts and some costume pieces for less money, I'll deal with getting a body.

the quality of sideshow figures realy bother me sometimes, they have awesome sculpts that git ruined by bad paints and then they sometimes have bad body problems at times. sigh 60 bucks now for a star wars figure tis a sad day when you pay that much and get less quality. but i digress, ive had the same problem with other figures man i feel for you.

I knew Qui-Gon and Honest Abe had one leg longer than the other...but I was too afraid maybe I was just seeing things so I didn't want to post on it. :lol

I never had Qui-Gon, but one of Abe's legs was noticeably longer. I think the same was true on my Anakin, I can't remember; and they are both gone now.

This is precisely why I'm not paying full price for human figures. I'm not encouraging them to continue pushing that crap body. It's lightyears ahead of Hasbro, but that defense is getting tired when you see what Medicom, Triad and HT have done recently.

I guess all y'all missed what I said above. Take the figure's pants off and make sure the legs are twisted the right way. My Mulder had two different length legs and when I went to see what was wrong, it was just a twisted thigh joint.

I might have lucked out, but it's worth checking don't you think?

Nope. I actually remember trying that, in addition to making sure that both feet were in the same position (the ankles). There are most certainly cases where the leg is longer.

Could the hips be posed lopsided to one side with the lower torso bent the other way at the waist? I've had a couple that were a little off but posing the legs directly under the lower torso alleviated the problem.
But one thing is for sure, Sideshow needs to upgrade their bodies.

Frankly, I never understood why so many people use Hasbro as an example compared to Sideshow. Hasbro was like what...$20 bucks a figure? They didnt market themselves as high end collectibles either.

Didn't even cost 'em that much, probably $2-5 since they're the same body used since the GI Joe Hall of Fame line from the early 90s, and uh, hm, Alba, mmmmm.. uhhh.. what were you saying again? :monkey5

In my short time collecting 1/6 figures the Art Buck body has to be the worst on the figures I've bought and the constant futzing that seems to be required with most Sideshow 1/6 figures once they are out of the box is largely why I won't be buying any more unless they improve the base body and also the quality of the clothing which is very hit and miss. Such improvements would probably stick the price of the figures up but if that meant Sideshow's 1/6 figures were the same quality as those from Medicom,Hot Toys or Enterbay then I wouldn't mind at all.
