Brand is hilarious - and if anyone is going to be Arthur in a remake I can't think of more perfect casting. Hopefully there will be a role for Katy as well.

Though I don't care for his stand up routines much, I do like him otherwise. I think he'd be good in this as well.

At least Dane can through a few coherent sentences together and doesnt make like Jack Sparrow to get attention. I mean the guy admitted to being a "professional" prostitute. Ewwwww...
If youre Katy Perry and you cant do better than that, well I guess they deserve each other.

I guess it all depends on how you were introduced to him I think. I first saw him in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and didn't even know he was a comic. And then I saw the Movie Awards where he bombed, but I thought he was very funny. Perhaps if I was a Brit and had been exposed to his standup before seeing Sarah Marshall I wouldn't like him as much.

This is a big mistake . this is one of those original movies that a remake will never do it justice .

This feels more like a funny or die video in the making or a Russell Brand intro for a comedy special. I first saw him in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and thought he was pretty funny. Easily one of the best parts of that entire movie. Then I saw him at the Awards, then I saw him in a couple of YouTube styled clips, then I saw him in the promos for Get Him to the Greek and realized that his persona was one 24/7 and it quickly got old. I don't even find him funny on FSM anymore...

As for Katy Perry she looks like a photoshop of Zooey Deschannel and a Porn Star, great to look at or watch with the sound muted but I wouldn't push her 15 minutes past anything else.
