That amount of cash for CGI Iron Man to make up most of the role... yeah okay. Which means anyone can be in that role. It's ridiculous that amount of cash to play that overrated character.

They created a CGI Tony Stark fro Iron Man 3 for some scenes when the actor was injured.
When he dies they can still use him for the role if they choose

Thats the most annoying thing. When fans act like he IS Iron Man with or without the suit
The suit is his powers, take that away and he can try to be a hero but he'll fail. He couldn't save Pepper without the suit, he couldn't survive his fights with any of the villians without the suit. He needs it, without it he's a smart guy and nothing more. Hell in IM3 he went into the Mandarin compound with guns instead of the suit and got caught and imprisonned and only escaped because he called in the suit.
