Yup. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Sideshow has in store for DC. Their figures will be considerably cheaper than Hot Toys, that's for sure.

And ( IMO) vastly superior if they're the only ones not using rubber suits.

Does this mean SS and HT are making the same figure, kind of confusing. Especially when that post made it sound like the blueprints they posted are of the same figure.

Yeah, it's not like we've seen Batman 1/6th arkam Batman figure concepts.
Besides, that would be just as silly as Sideshow and Medicom both doing Darth Maul, Luke skywalker, or Darth vader figures.


sarcasm aside, It's not unprecedented, and it will probably be a LONG while before sideshow gets around to doing Arkham figures as well.

I wish people would get it through their head that concept art does NOT mean its going to get made, ever. Its just an idea on paper, nothing more. They may or may NOT make any of those concepts in that video.

I've looked at these pics many times. For some reason, I just noticed in the lower left corner VIDEO GAME MASTERPIECES. Now I know it say video game series, but it just made me wonder what other games they may make figures from. I don't play video games ( anymore ). The only other hero game I am aware of is Ultimate Marvel. I would LOVE figures from that. Almost the same as comic figures.

Of course calling this a SERIES would indicate the probability of more than one. I guess we'll see soon enough.

things can change very quickly, especially when two companies are the partners.
And even tho SSC goin' to make one - it was a concept of BAA, not BAC.

Im more worried about SS awful flesh paint and messy paint jobs, compared to rubber suits. But thats why there is that price difference. I'll still be opened minded when Zartan hits because the face may be as awesome as it looks.

Would a suit made using the same material as the HT Spiderman be beyond the realm of possibility? I'm not really in the know too much about the material used for HT's Spiderman but surely that could have the same textured quality as the game design and have all the suit's lines etc. added to it?

I think it will come down to the cost of developing a new body to fill out a fabric suit, as opposed to using an existing Truetype and shaping the body with a rubber suit.

ahh. Well I guess the rubber suit would be the more cost effective option, but I really hope they go with a new body/fabric suit option instead. I'm not convinced a rubber suit would look that good or represent the game look/material very well.

Would anyone else like to see an alternate unmasked head for this? Even if it was infected, it'd still be pretty cool, same goes for if we get a Joker, it'd be cool to have both diseased/non-diseased heads.
